ANGE POSTECOGLOU has given the nod to Adam Montgomery to take the left-back slot for the Europa League Group G game against Ferencvaros at Parkhead this afternoon.

The gifted teenager, who set up the winning goal for Filipe Jota in the 2-1 victory over Aberdeen at Pittodrie just before the international break, was rested for Saturday’s 2-0 success over Motherwell at Fir Park.

Boli Bolingoli took his place, but Montgomery will face the Hungarians with Liam Scales again starting on the substitutes’ bench.

Celtic go into their third match in the competitive section looking for their first triumph after losing 4-3 to Real Betis in Seville and 4-0 at home to Bayer Leverkusen.

Today’s opponents are in an identical situation are will be hoping to replicate their 2-1 Champions League qualifying success over the Hoops in August last year.

Callum McGregor is the only home player on show who started that collapse. Albian Ajeti, who is again among the stand-by squad, came on as a late substitute for James Forrest in an evening which proved extremely costly in the long run for manager Neil Lennon and several of his players.

TEAM: Hart; Ralston, Carter-Vickers, Starfelt, Montgomery; Turnbull, McGregor, Rogic; Abada, Kyogo, Jota. Subs: Bain, Barkas, Scales, Bitton, Giakoumakis, Ajeti, Soro, Johnston, Urhoghide, Shaw and Welsh.
