CONFIRMED: NTCHAM IN, HENDRY RETURNS

OLIVIER NTCHAM takes his place alongside skipper Scott Brown for tonight’s Champions League third round first leg qualifier against AEK Athens at Parkhead.

The French midfielder gave Brendan Rodgers a scare when he limped off at the end of Saturday’s 3-1 Premiership victory over Livingston.

However, as CQN reported earlier today, the £4.5million recruit from Manchester City last summer, has overcome his ankle injury to play in the crucial encounter against the Greek title-winners.

Jack Hendry also returned to play in central defence alongside Kristoffer Ajer, the pairing that played both legs against Rosneborg in the previous round.

Jozo Simunovic, who played against Livi, dropped to the bench and Kieran Tierney, who made a subs’ appearance in the league game, is in at the start.

TEAM: Gordon; Lustig, Hendry, Ajer, Tierney; Brown, Ntcham; Forrest, Rogic, McGregor; Edouard. Subs: Bain, Simunovic, Kouassi, Sinclair, Hayes, Johnston, Griffiths.
