CELTIC striker Oh Hyeon-gyu sealed his move to Genk this afternoon.

The 23-year-old South Korean international striker agreed a four-year deal with the Belgian top-flight club and leaves Parkhead after just 18 months.

Oh cost £2million when Ange Postecoglou signed him from K-League outfit Suwon Bluewings.

The powerhouse frontman claimed 12 goals for the Hoops, but was a bit-part player for Brendan Rodgers last season and dropped down the pecking order after the January loan arrival of Adam Idah from Championship side Norwich City.

The Parkhead men are currently in negotiations with the Carrow Road club to make Celtic’s Scottish Cup matchwinner a permanent switch.

Oh’s departure was announced by the Hoops in a post on X, external.

The player didn’t even make the subs’ bench for the Hampden showpiece on May 25 when Idah fired in the late trophy clincher.

Genk’s director of football Dimitri de Conde told the club’s website: “Hyeon-gyu is a striker with a nose for goals.

“He is a quick player who, thanks to his stature, also offers a strong presence in the box.”

No official fee for Oh has been revealed.
