STEVE CLARKE has confirmed Anthony Ralston’s place in his Scotland squad after the Celtic right-back’s impressive form in the run-in to a phenomenal campaign.
The Hoops defender will join team-mates Callum McGregor, David Turnbull and Greg Taylor for the World Cup play-off semi-final against Ukraine at Hampden a week on Wednesday and the potential Final play-off against Wales in Cardiff four days later.
Ralston’s was overlooked for the previous pool after making his full international debut as a substitute in the 2-0 win over Denmark at Hampden in November.
Out, though, is his former Parkhead team-mate Kieran Tierney with the left-back toiling with injury at Arsenal in recent weeks.
Back comes another ex-Celt in the shape of keeper David Marshall who has just agreed a two-year deal with Hibs after his brief stint at Championship outfit Queens Park Rangers. His last appearance for his country came in the Euro 2020 Finals.
