CONFIRMED: ROGIC IN CUP RETURN

TOM ROGIC returns to the Celtic line-up in place of the banned Ryan Christie for tonight’s Scottish Cup-tie against Partick Thistle at Firhill.

The Australian international playmaker has started only six games this season after being stricken by injury.

He was an unused substitute in the last game of 2019 and makes a welcome return against the Championship side who were beaten 5-0 by the Hoops in the Betfred League Cup quarter-final at Parkhead in September.

As expected, £3.5million Polish striker Patryck Klimala starts on the bench.

Fraser Forster remains in goal while Nir Bitton lines up alongside Christopher Jullien in the heart of the rearguard with Jeremie Frimpong and Greg Taylor on the defensive flanks.

Skipper Scott Brown will anchor the midfield alongside Olivier Ntcham with Callum McGregor and Tom Rogic playing ahead of them. Leigh Griffiths and Odsonne Edouard will lead the line.

Alongside Klimala as standy-by players are Craig Gordon, Jozo Simunovic, Moritz Bauer, Daniel Arzani, Jonny Hayes and Boli Bolingoli.

TEAM: Forster; Frimpong, Jullien, Bitton, Taylor; Brown, Nthcam; McGregor, Rogic; Griffiths, Edouard. Subs: Gordon, Simunovic, Klimala, Bauer, Arzani, Hayes and Bolingoli.
