CONFIRMED: ROGIC RESTED, FORREST OUT, CHRISTIE MAKES RETURN

0

TOM ROGIC and James Forrest have been rested by Ange Postecoglou with Ryan Christie returning from injury to face St Mirren in the Premiership at Parkhead this afternoon.

The Australian playmaker has had a new lease of life under his former international manager who has decided to give him a start on the substitutes’ bench with an eye to the Europa League return leg against AZ Alkmaar in the Netherlands on Thursday.

Rogic was excellent in the 2-0 first leg triumph and set up the first goal for Kyogo Furuhashi with a bit of magic on the left before pitching in a perfect cross to the back post for the Japanese hitman to volley into the roof of the net.

COMEBACK BHOY…Ryan Christie returns against St Mirren at Parkhead.

Forrest gets the day off while Christie makes his comeback from a bruised foot injury to face the Paisley Saints.

Kyogo and Odsonne Edouard again pair up in the frontline after their success in the 3-2 League Cup victory over Hearts last week when both were on the scoresheet.

TEAM: Hart; Ralston, Welsh, Starfelt, Taylor; Turnbull, McGregor, Christie; Abada, Edouard, Kyogo. Subs: Bain, Bitton, Ajeti, Soro, Rogic, Urhoghide and Montgomery.
