CONFIRMED: ROGIC, STARFELT RETURN

TOM ROGIC and Carl Starfelt return to the Celtic line-up for tonight’s Premiership encounter against Hearts at Parkhead.

The Australian international playmaker, who has missed the last six games through injury, comes in for James McCarthy who drops to the bench after playing the full 90 minutes of the 2-1 win over Aberdeen at the weekend.

Swedish central defender Starfelt has also recovered from the strain that kept him on the sidelines in recent weeks and he goes straight into the side in place of Cameron Carter-Vickers who is rested from the squad.

James Forrest, who replaced Liel Abada just after the hour mark against the Dons, is in at the start.

There’s also a return to the squad for Nir Bitton, who is among the substitutes after recovering from the knock he sustained in the 3-2 Europa League Group G loss against Bayer Leverkusen in Germany a week ago.

The Edinburgh side inflicted a 2-1 defeat on Ange Postecoglou in his first Premiership outing in July, but the Hoops reversed the outcome when they knocked Robbie Neilson’s men out of the Premier Sports League Cup just over two weeks later in Glasgow.

TEAM: Hart; Ralston, Welsh, Starfelt, Juranovic; Turnbull, Rogic, McGregor; Forrest, Kyogo, Jota. Subs: Bain, Bitton, Ajeti, Abada, McCarthy, Johnston and Montgomery.
