CONFIRMED: SAME-AGAIN CELTS

JOHN KENNEDY has given a vote of confidence to the shot-shy starting line-up that drew 0-0 with Dundee United a fortnight ago for this afternoon’s visit from Steven Gerrard’s side.

The team failed to grab a goal at Tannadice to officially bring an end to the Parkhead club’s nine-year reign as Scotland’s champions.

However, the interim manager will give them a chance to atone today with the Govan club in opposition.

The Hoops passed up an array of opportunities against the Tayside outfit with Odsonne Edouard and Mohamed Elyounoussi, in particular, wasteful in front of goal.

Kennedy, in his third game in charge, will be hoping the Frenchman and the Norwegian – plus their team-mates – will have better luck this time around.

Albian Ajeti drops off the substitute bench with Nir Bitton returning from injury.

TEAM: Bain; Kenny, Welsh, Ajer, Laxalt; Brown, Turnbull, McGregor, Christie; Elyounoussi; Edouard. Subs: Barkas, Taylor, Duffy, Bitton, Griffiths, Klimala, Soro, Rogic and Forrest.
