CONFIRMED: SINCLAIR GUNNING FOR DONS

0

SCOTT SINCLAIR, the scourge of Aberdeen, will again be in the Celtic frontline against Derek McInnes’ team at Parkhead this afternoon.

The flamboyant English attacker thumped in a memorable hat-trick against the Dons in the champions’ 4-3 victory at Pittodrie on Boxing Day.

Before that, Sinclair, after replacing the crocked Odsonne Edouard early in the game, got the only goal of a tight Premiership tussle in the east end of Glasgow in late September.

He should have added to that tally, but fluffed his lines when he had a penalty-kick saved by Joe Lewis in the 1-0 Betfred League Cup Final triumph at Hampden in December. Ryan Christie showed him how it’s done that day.

Sinclair will hoping to make sure there are no mishaps today as Neil Lennon’s team have the opportunity to go TEN points clear in their pursuit of their eighth successive title.

Neil Lennon has taken the opportunity to freshen up the team by bringing back Jeremy Toljan for Mikael Lustig who is on the bench alongside Odsonne Edouard with Oliver Burke leading the attack.

Ewan Henderson also comes into midfield afer making his debut in the 4-1 win over Motherwell a fortnight ago.

Dedryck Boyata and Nir Bitton, who had sustained knocks in the 2-0 Scottish Cup quarter-final success over Hibs a week ago, have also both recovered to take their place in the line-up.

TEAM: Bain; Toljan, Ajer, Boyata, Tierney; Brown, Bitton; Forrest, Henderson, Sinclair; Burke, Subs: De Vries, Lustig, Hayes, Hendry, Weah, Johnston, Edouard.
