MARTIN O’NEILL has given the nod of approval for Viljami Sinisalo to start against Rangers at Ibrox this afternoon.
The Finnish shotstopper was outstanding in Celtic’s 1-0 Europa League win over VfB Stuttgart on Thursday and keeps the No.1 position ahead of Kasper Schmeichel.
The Dane also misses out on the matchday squad with Ross Doohan as back-up netminder.
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is a surprise starter in midfield alongside Callum McGregor and Benjamin Nygren while Junior Adamu leads the attack with Tomas Cvancara among the stand-by squad.
TEAM: Sinisalo; Araujo, Murray, Scales, Tierney; Nygren, McGregor, Oxlade-Chamberlain; Yang, Adamu, Maeda. Subs: Doohan, Cvancara, McCowan, Tounekti, Saracchi, Hatate, Arthur, Forrest and Donovan.
