CONFIRMED: TAYLOR RETURNS

1

GREG TAYLOR makes a surprise return to the Celtic first team for the noon kick-off against Dundee United at Tannadice today.

The Scotland international left-back hasn’t figured since September 11 after sustaining a shoulder injury in the Europa League play-off against AZ Alkmaar in the Netherlands a fortnight earlier.

However, Ange Postecoglou has had no hesitation in playing him in another crucial encounter with back-up left-sided defenders Adam Montgomery and Liam Scales among the substitutes.

Anthony Ralston, Filipe Jota and Stephen Welsh, who all limped off during the 1-0 win over Hearts on Thursday night, are not involved, as CQN confirmed earlier today.

Cameron Carter-Vickers is also back after missing out against the Tynecastle outfit for “personal issues” and he will line up alongside Carl Starfelt in the middle of the rearguard. Josip Juranovic is again in the No.2 position.

With the influential Jota sidelined, Mikey Johnston, who replaced him in midweek, again gets the nod to take over.

TEAM: Hart; Juranovic, Carter-Vickers, Starfelt, Taylor; Turnbull, Rogic, McGregor; Forrest, Kyogo, Johnston. Subs: Bain, Scales, Montgomery, Bitton, McCarthy, Abada and Ajeti.
