Containing consequences

258

It still stings, but we need to park the pain of defeat and get back on the horse tomorrow.  Reversals can become infectious, they can drive confidence into a spiral. For my money, this phenomenon in part formed Brendan’s reaction after the game on Wednesday. He was relatively upbeat, containing the consequences by saying whatever positives were available.

Kilmarnock are the only domestic opponents to beat Celtic this season, so we have are reasons to be cautious.

Our motivation should be clear, win, and put seven points between us and St Mirren, with the Paisley club playing Newco on Sunday. Let’s hope our Glasgow rivals can do is a favour and peg Saints back.

  1. Re CL games.

For a change it would be good to be the bride and not the bridesmaid.

    HH.

PS : A wee bit of the rub of the green and 3rd is still a possibility.

I thought the pillars in the main stand were raised during games unless there was a forecast of high winds.

Those are further in towards the centre of the stand.

The pillars at either end of the stand are wider and are permanent fixtures.

I think a floating roof is the answer.

If we keep getting more rain of biblical proportions then your answer may come to fruition 😆

I’m hearing from a good source that Frank Lampard is very close to being appointed at Ibrox.

Big name but also a big risk.

Not doubting your source but I would be surprised if Frank Lampard took over at Ibrox.

  6. The SEVCO board are not looking for a Manager/Coach to improve the team, as always, they are looking for one that will sell season tickets. That’s always been there Modus Operandi, por cierto

  7. Just watched back the highlights of the lazio game (with a sober head on)

    Very proud of the team

    Small margins at this level

Brendan is a student and will pass his learnings on to the team

We are so, so close and so far away at the same time

    Lets pump killie

    Mon the hoops

    PS

Stivs, you keep on keeping on xx

Good luck to the Celts tomorrow. High hopes heading to John Higgins v Judd Trump, same day.

Looking well, playing better. Is there a football team we know that can do the same if all our wishes were to come true?

Is Lampard prepared to work for hee haw and gamble his future prospects on that team?

Our supporters club got 1 ticket for Hearts at Tynecastle on 22nd.

Apparently eltic were allocated a grand total of 576 tickets.

  11. Frank Lampard left Everton (in the Sh*tter) on a salary of £9.6m per year early this year.

    £185,000 per week.

    The huns are skint.

    Seems a stretch.

  12. Very pleased to see a Cavanagh scored the winner against Glasgow City. Well done a member of the Clann Caomhanach.

Read somewhere on Twitter (I know, I know) that they can’t afford Beale’s pay off because they haven’t yet paid off GVB .

Don’t know if it’s true or not but wouldn’t surprise me .

Lampard is a big name, but a useless manager.

What has he ever achieved in management that says he can do anything with that mob?

They’re going for the bling again if they appoint him.

    Please do! 😂💩

  16. Judith on BBC Scotland has informed us that Glasgow is in the Amber zone tomorrow. It means there is a danger to life and limb in the area. Would it not be wise for Celtic to have the game postponed? Sounds very serious to me.

  17. PARKHEADCUMSALFORD

Sunday has been marked as danger for quark and davis

Otherwise known as a coisty zone…….

do the same to them in return, put them up in the corner next to the police control room, and behind the pillar.

how would you feel about on those occasions that celtic get limited tickets then local csc get the allocation, so the Edinburgh and leith busses get the full amount they want ?

    thoughts.

  19. Please note for anyone travelling by train tomorrow to the game.

ScotRail is warning customers that there will be significant disruption to services following an amber weather warning by the Met Office for heavy rain for parts of Scotland, with up to 180mm of rainfall forecast in many areas tomorrow (Saturday, 7 October), including the Highlands and central Scotland, and in the Glasgow, Perth, and Stirling areas.

As a result, ScotRail services will be suspended on the following routes from 01:00 tomorrow until Sunday morning:

West Highland line from Oban, Mallaig and Fort William.

Helensburgh Central/Balloch to Dalmuir. Services between Dalmuir and Glasgow will operate.

Highland Mainline between Perth and Inverness.

For those routes, we are advising customers not to travel as no rail replacement travel is available.

Most other routes across our network will be affected by speed restrictions as a safety precaution meaning services may be subject to delay or cancellation.

Customers are advised that they should travel only when necessary, to expect delays, and to check their journey before travelling by keeping an eye on our website, app, or social media feeds for live updates.
