That whole ‘We don’t do walking away’ without a payoff business looks a little different this morning. Dave King has told the media Derek Llambias and Barry Leach are ‘demanding’ a payoff. It would be more likely that they have informed King of the terms of their contracts, which is all they are able to demand. Under the circumstances, it would be extraordinary if either ‘walked away’ from their contracts.
Contracts of employment are not optional. Terms have to be honoured, even if the employees’ services are no longer required, as I’m sure Mr Llambias’ solicitor will inform him when he discusses King’s threat to sue him for EGM costs. This easy-come, easy-go attitude to contracts is, well, shameless.
For what it’s worth, my money is on Llambias and Leach resigning in the hours before the EGM, once they have ensured business is sorted. This is the scenario King wanted, there’s no point complaining now it’s playing out.
World Autism Day
After their successful work with Downs Syndrome children, the homeless and many disadvantaged groups, next month the Celtic Foundation will embark on work with children with autism. A pilot project is currently being designed which will work to enhance each child’s wellbeing.
Autism is described in terms of a ‘spectrum’ as it includes people who live independently to those who require very specialised support on a daily basis. Recent decades have seen enormous improvements in understanding of the condition and on strategies to help, especially in children, which is where this pilot project comes in.
World Autism Day is 2 April and on that day the Foundation is holding its inaugural Golf Day (11 years behind the magnificent CQN Open) at Renfrew Golf Club. The event is supported by Ryder Cup winner Stephen Gallacher (who will not be playing) and a host of former Celtic players (who will be playing).
It’s a great initiative for the Foundation, reaching out into a new and important area, so if you’re a golfer and will enjoy a day on the course with friends and former players, go here to book.

td67,
I have precisely those 2 strips. I always fancied the green sleeved one and then I saw the Celtic Cross and got that too. I think either should be our alternative strip. I said so about the shamrock one a couple of years ago on here. Class.

Livibhoy … I dont do things just to wind up sevconians, but if I can do something right, and it happens to wind them up, that is just a bonus!
I think you will probably get half of what you want … I dont think that will be our jersey, but as for reasonably priced jerseys … that ship has long since sailed.
then again, perhaps, I am just showing my age!

Who needs an Advisor?
Look at the quality of the 3 Bears and Dave King.
Just a simple phone call required to straighten it all out – just a misunderstanding
A NOMAD is just for wee diddy companies – not the might Rangurs

I’m still at work and now my CQN cover is blown as my boss is looking at me over his shoulder:)))
50 mil,ho ho ho…
Does suspending trading on AIM breach the loan agreement with MASH ?
I hope so.
trying to figure out the nomad thing .. has MA said that he is not prepared to lend the second 5 million, and so, Nomad is forced to resign as Sevco cannot meet its obligations? if so, this would force King to prove that he has the money to invest. this could be MA’s way of calling King’s bluff …. but, I’m still working on this one.

This would suit the 42 conviction guy as there wouldn’t be the same regulations in place for him to ‘Cook’ the books. -)))
Hi Mike
Good – hope you are too.
Loss of Nomad
In order to be eligible for AIM, an applicant must appoint a nominated adviser and an
AIM company must retain a nominated adviser at all times.
The nominated adviser is responsible to the Exchange for assessing the
appropriateness of an applicant for AIM, or an existing AIM company when appointed as
its nominated adviser, and for advising and guiding an AIM company on its
responsibilities under these rules.
The responsibilities of nominated advisers are set out in the AIM Rules for Nominated
Advisers.
If an AIM company ceases to have a nominated adviser the Exchange will suspend
trading in its AIM securities. If within one month of that suspension the AIM company
has failed to appoint a replacement nominated adviser, the admission of its AIM
securities will be cancelled..
——————————————–
May have little effect on them as they are not raising capital via the AIM market in any case but it makes it difficult for shares to change hands in an orderly way (if orderly is an understood word at Ibrox)
Still, it was after 16.00 here and I had not had my fill of drama today. Feel better now.
Can go to the game tonight and see what progress we are making. Time to rattle in a few.
If shares are suspended doesn’t Mike take control of the remainder of the assets?
.
BT..
Hi..;-(

Ok
To those of us who aren’t corporate lawyers/accountants
What does the latest Sevco fiasco mean in practical terms?
I’m of the view that Ashley has nothing to prove but sit tight and coin in the ££££ from the gullible clowns as long as the lights are kept switched on and thereby its in his interests for that to continue
Where does that sit now??
New Balance deal announced tomorrow.
Keep the Faith!
Hail Hail!

I get what you meant but I would rather not even think about the Zombies.
LB
If Armstrong & GMS are unavailable for next 2 Dundee United games, should they be played tonight as they have a rest coming up plus if they pick up a wee niggle it won’t be a disaster or as an earlier poster suggested rest them and give the lads likely to face Dundee United game time and a chance to gell in.
My view is to take one game at a time, I’d play them to-night, concentrate on securing the points and worry about the Cup game to-morrow.
Wouldn’t the Nomad be obliged to resign if two of the new directors to be appointed are actually barred from becoming directors because they were directors in a previous company of a similar name that had a liquidation event?
corkcelt
I agree. The player that maybe needs a rest is Johansen.
LB
Timmy hasn’t worked out there is no Ireland in ‘Rangers’ – not laughing now, eh?

charliemac
They are not barred from being Directors. SFA fit and proper rules would not matter either.
Yes Livi, maybe rest Joe and play Liam.
The half life of a RIFC board of directors is 60 days, the same as Antimony 124.
Sevco 5088 or Sb 124?
They should call it Sevcovium.
Whatever this is about, one thing is certain. MA has not been outsmarted.
Corkcelt
I would normally agree with you
I thought Armstrong had pinged a hamstring on Sunday and his level of fitness when he totters off on Sunday was such I would not be rushin to play him tonight irrespective of him having a 2wk break.
I would play GMS tonight. The bhoy is an entertainer the like if which we’ve not seen or had for some time. Forrest IMO has spat the dummy out big time at his arrival and he can have his chance next 2 games.
Armstrong is going to be a cracker and should be protected.
I wondered lonely as a Sevco Nomad
squire danaher
King needs to find a Nomad prepared to say he has the funds and he is a good guy otherwise the shares are worthless as they cannot be traded,
001 Bhoy
Evening
Centenary year strip for me.Top class.Still got it somewhere. And naw it disnae fit.
This gives the three bears two days to convince any shareholders who have voted for King not to change their mind on Friday.
HH
It also means that they can’t go to the market for more funding. Any investment has to come directly from DK and his cronies.
leftclicktic
Fair enough but how does that impact on Ashley’s control of the club??
I get that Ashley controls all the revenue streams and doesn’t give a tuppeny fig about the club as long as it stays open.
How does this impact on that? Does it mean the King takeover – for what THAT is actually worth – is on ice if the shares can’t be traded?
