EMILIO IZAGUIRRE could end his seven-year career at Celtic in the summer.
The popular Honduran international is out of contract and is on the wanted list of Costa Rica’s most successful club Deportiva Alajuelense.
The Central American outfit are on the brink of offering the left-back a deal to quit the Parkhead side.
Izaguirre, 30, has lost his Hoops first team place to 19-year-old Kieran Tierney whose consistency has kept him on the sidelines.
Now the defender could be lured from the club he admits he will “always hold in special affection”.
Alajuelense have won the Costa Rican league a record 29 times and are managed by former Real Madrid, Villarreal and Canada boss Benito Floro.
Izaguirre, though, won’t be in a rush to quit the six-in-a-row champions. Spanish and MLS clubs are also monitoring his situation.
