The SFA, SPL and SFL confirmed revelations yesterday that they met at Hampden on Friday evening and released a 126 word joint statement. It claimed “all three parties have been involved in productive discussions for some time on the subject of league reconstruction”.
Be that as it may, you could put your house on the fact that there would be no talk of hastily-arranged league reconstruction in the next few weeks if there remained a possibility that SPL clubs would vote a Newco into the league at their meeting on 4 July.

There is no mention of subverting every rule in the game to ensure a team called ‘Rangers’ are positioned in as high a league system as possible. The statement is completely disingenuous. Having lost the battle to parachute Newco-Rangers into the SPL, Stewart Regan and Neil Doncaster have redrawn the battle lines.
Celtic supporters are the great cash cow that is expected to pay for the crimes of others. It’s up to you if you want to Cough up for Killie (etc.).

I think Paul67 threw in a wee comment a week or more ago that McGregor was out of contract or words to that effect. Don’t think it attracted interest at the time.

Margaret McGill, the meeting happened behind Celtic’s back. Our club only heard about it from other sources, despite the fact that a Celtic director is on both SFA and SPL boards. The next stage is for the SFA and SPL to put their suggestions to the clubs. At that stage Celtic officially become involved.
I have agreed with many that Celtic as a club saying nothing ion this whole matter has been correct but i fear it is getting to a time when the club will have to say something!!
Unless they are really working behind the scenes and on a constant conference call with uefa or indeed fifa

Can we not take legal action against the Ogilvies of this world for acting way, way beyond their remit? I wouldn’t have believed that even the Scottish football authorities would behave in such a way.
Can anyone confirm if there is a “NO TO NEWCO” demonstration at all SPL grounds planned and if so when is ours???

Get the feeling we are being lined up for the Masonic shaft. We must repel these evil forces by all means at our disposal.
Immediate representations must be made to UEFA to articulate this injustice and highlight the corruptness of the SFA & secure our passage out where we can play on a level field. Paul McBride RIP
Without the huns in the SPL what’s to stop the other 11 clubs voting through an equal share of gate money? That would nullify the effect of any boycott.
(Any notion of disguising gate money as a club membership fee is unlikely to survive a legal challenge, before anyone suggests it.)

Its time to start drawing up our own plan in order to respond to this gerrymandering. The club needs to decide whether we accept this pro-newrangers move from their heavily conflicted SFA bretheren- or whether we make a fight of it. We have the financial power in Scottish Football, and its maybe time we started using it

Meetings about the restructuring of Scottish football have been taking place without the knowledge of Board members of the current bodies?
Who has been involved in the discussions then? I would hope that employees involved have more sense than to be doing this off their own backs? At least the office bearers must be involved surely?
But that still leaves questions to be asked about the processes involved here. Formal decisions should be taken at full Board meetings and not in smoke filled rooms.

Paul 67 I have been saying since the Rangers Fiasco many on CQN were to optomistic saying that they were dead.You yourself on several occassions quoted various rules that would work against them.This very afternoon Arty has taken a bit of stick for being to pessimistic however, there are a lot of twists and turns to take place in this story yet the Scottish football authorities are working hand in glove with Charles Green to minimize any damage to newco they will dump all the rules and make new ones to suit and you are begining to see it right before your eyes I have said previously every masonic and orange lodge up and down the country will be lobbying for newco and imo we cant afford to ignore what is going on.H.H.
