The SFA, SPL and SFL confirmed revelations yesterday that they met at Hampden on Friday evening and released a 126 word joint statement. It claimed “all three parties have been involved in productive discussions for some time on the subject of league reconstruction”.
Be that as it may, you could put your house on the fact that there would be no talk of hastily-arranged league reconstruction in the next few weeks if there remained a possibility that SPL clubs would vote a Newco into the league at their meeting on 4 July.

There is no mention of subverting every rule in the game to ensure a team called ‘Rangers’ are positioned in as high a league system as possible. The statement is completely disingenuous. Having lost the battle to parachute Newco-Rangers into the SPL, Stewart Regan and Neil Doncaster have redrawn the battle lines.
Celtic supporters are the great cash cow that is expected to pay for the crimes of others. It’s up to you if you want to Cough up for Killie (etc.).

Regan is now complicit with Ogilvie and Doncaster with the greatest corruption in the history of football. Ogilvie has admitted it and says he won’t resign. Doncaster is protecting his bonus ( he should be sacked ) …although I heard the sky deal still has 2 years to run …which I find hard to believe.
The strange one is Regan ; why does he wish to expose himself to aligning with a football club that took the SFA to court, cheated and may yet end up with criminal actions and jail sentences. Is he being outmanoeuvred by Ogilvie and Doncaster. I suspect Doncaster with his legal background is sharper than Regan and realising that newco spl renetry is doomed , has targeted Regan and a receptive Ogilivie with his Plan B to save the Cheats.
If the SFA fail , Regan is the fall guy and he will need to go. Ogilvie has already stated that he will not be involved in activities relating to RFC ; it’s not Doncasters remit …..so Regan would take the hit.
Regan needs to waken up and smell the coffee ; this plan is doomed. Putting his name to it is a resignation letter.

I have thought for some time now that the re–structuring MasterMasonPlan has been on the go for ages….Considering when McLeish made his reccomendations/proposals, tied with the knowledge of the Football Authoriities awareness of the weight of the forewarned Avalanche that was about to hit Their Club.

The proposed dissolution of the Judicial Review Panel is to remove any possibility of it being commissioned to investigate the sfa.
Reducing the hundeads punishment is a red herring.
The solution is simple, the board must lobby all other clubs to propose such an investigation is commissned before the JRP are disolved, EGM.

I suspect that secretly, the SFL Div 1 solution would probably be favoured by most SPL chairmen – reading the Motherwell guidance letter to voters you could see that the finances are precarious.
That said, it’s not the solution that the grass roots fan wants so its time to up the ante and cancel SKY sports subscriptions. You could always re-subscribe if you want to and you don’t need to cancel the whole SKY kit and kaboodle (just the sports bit) – but it puts out a very strong message to the money men that the supporters – ticket paying and armchair – hold all the aces.
One thing I would say though is that somewhere down the line Celtic will have to pay a price to be free of Rangers. Whether this comes in the form of gate sharing, TV revenue splits, sponsorship, Champs League money or combinations therein – I don’t know. But anyone who thinks that we emerge from this debacle 100% intact is living in cloud cuckoo land.
