The SFA, SPL and SFL confirmed revelations yesterday that they met at Hampden on Friday evening and released a 126 word joint statement. It claimed “all three parties have been involved in productive discussions for some time on the subject of league reconstruction”.
Be that as it may, you could put your house on the fact that there would be no talk of hastily-arranged league reconstruction in the next few weeks if there remained a possibility that SPL clubs would vote a Newco into the league at their meeting on 4 July.

There is no mention of subverting every rule in the game to ensure a team called ‘Rangers’ are positioned in as high a league system as possible. The statement is completely disingenuous. Having lost the battle to parachute Newco-Rangers into the SPL, Stewart Regan and Neil Doncaster have redrawn the battle lines.
Celtic supporters are the great cash cow that is expected to pay for the crimes of others. It’s up to you if you want to Cough up for Killie (etc.).

Not a bad game this. A few decent chances for both teams.
It is hard to escape that conclusion. For the sake of integrity they should go to Div3. For their own sake they should go to Div 3. But they are a dead club and the new one is looking like a small boat in the middle of a big ocean without rudder or engine.
I’m pretty relaxed about it all.

I enjoy the away matches more than I enjoy the home ones.
I will not be attending any away matches in the SPL next season.

The difference here is, the players don’t have a contract with NewCo. Newco cannot register players yet as they aren’t a member of the SFA. Green will be ordered by the SFA to release the registrations of all players who want to leave

When I started posting on this blog, I never thought I’d see even close to what we’re witnessing, but throughout that time I demanaded it. I argued and abused over any discussion that I thought relented in just demands, or tried to block strategies that apply pressure.
We the Celtic Support applied the pressure and everything else is a result of that :o)

I suspect Therest of the SPL have voted No because without Zombierangers they can change the voting structure within the SPL.
What comes next is a split of gate money,a different split on TV and commercial revenues.
I will most likely renew my season tickets this season,but if what I fear is about to happen this will be my last season as a season ticket holder.
We are trapped in a corrupt Scottish football enviroment,with a board who have no desire or ideas of how to change it.
I never rejoiced or bought in the concept that we defeated the SFA.
Never have I been so pissed off at the self serving needs of Scottish football and it’s administrators.

BBC and the other cooncil channels cost me the same license fee as “Trevor from Surrey”, yet we have to listen to this drivel, even when they aren’t playing.
SSN is also 95%+ about ingurlish sport (including cricket) yet we pay the same fee.
We should campaign for a more balanced coverage (which cannot happen) or a reduction in cable/satellite fees and the TV license.
