Cough up for Killie

944

The SFA, SPL and SFL confirmed revelations yesterday that they met at Hampden on Friday evening and released a 126 word joint statement.  It claimed “all three parties have been involved in productive discussions for some time on the subject of league reconstruction”.

Be that as it may, you could put your house on the fact that there would be no talk of hastily-arranged league reconstruction in the next few weeks if there remained a possibility that SPL clubs would vote a Newco into the league at their meeting on 4 July.

Disingenuous: lacking in frankness, candour or sincerity.

There is no mention of subverting every rule in the game to ensure a team called ‘Rangers’ are positioned in as high a league system as possible.  The statement is completely disingenuous.  Having lost the battle to parachute Newco-Rangers into the SPL, Stewart Regan and Neil Doncaster have redrawn the battle lines.

Celtic supporters are the great cash cow that is expected to pay for the crimes of others.  It’s up to you if you want to Cough up for Killie (etc.).

I share much of your angst and frustration but don’t see what our board, in their own, can do to change the current situation.

Sorry to hear that this is it for you.

You would think that the football creditors have not given up on the hun especially if they play in a league this season coming.

    i agree, relax.

No way any changes can be made prior to season kicking off, “don-egan” (love that by the way) can’t push it through without consultation with ALL the clubs involved.

Bottom line Sevco are unlikely to be anywhere this season, which creates the break in history that they currently seem to be unable to grasp and regardless of what happens after that Sevco cannot generate enough money to compete for years (if ever) ……they are done!

In my opinion the board / Neil Lennon have played this well, why comment on the demise of Rangers / possible rise of Sevco…it’s all speculation until all the votes are in and the season starts, I’m sure they are quietly applying pressure in the appropriate places.

I hope they are concentrating on all things Celtic, in particular our imminent European campaign.

Mrs TT has been badly affected by the loss of her brother, in the prime of his life.

I am hopeful that it will be cathartic for her.

I will monitor how things role out.

I love watching Celtic ,home or away.

I will never criticise the Celtic support for attending matches and supporting the team.

I am hopeful that my fears will not be realised and I can get back to watching ,us both home and away soon.

It will be like coming off drugs for me stay away from the away fixtures.

Hopefully Celtic will find a solution.

  13. For a few years there has been a mantra from the Celtic Support, particularly on this blog:

————— NO MORE OLD FIRM —————-

Whodathunk it would come about in such a way :-)

  14. WeefratheTim on

Paul67 It is only my opinion, but I don’t believe Sevco will be in any league next season and will probably struggle to be in one in time for the following one.

  15. ……..in other news, I’ve also just heard that Wishart Fraser has offered to be on call 24/ 7 for any zombies in need of a friendly shoulder to cry on……………

When exactly did he stop playing for thems, again?

  16. Evening all

Quite an open game for a QF between two (allegedly) heavyweight sides. But 66 mins in no goals and few really good saves suggests to mr neither is that good for all it’s an exciting match.

Oh and no to Newco and whatever else Regan and Carter , sorry Doncaster , are suggesting

The explanation for Dungcaster and Ragman is that I think Hampden is a bit like Mr Benn’s changing room the only problem is that anyone going in there can only put on a hun costume.
