Living off the fat of the land to the very end

His arrogance tonight would make a ready replacement for Sandy Jardine.

Exactly, despite being a Celtic fan, his only source came from the very unbiased and wholly neutral Rangers Fighting Fund, the only charity stupid enough to give money to Craig Whyte and Duff & Phelps.

  6. Bobby Murdochs Ankle on

Naebody told wiggy that rankers don’t exist, it’s like explainin debt tae a hun,

    they just don’t get it.

    Pull the plug.

  7. i’ll tell you what if newco get put into division 3 and the spl think they can just start spl2 and draft them in they are fools…

firstly, which clubs from the sfl would want to join and secondly this would show the spl clubs ‘no vote’ was a con to sell season tickets.

the games would be finish in this country tens of thousands of fans would be lost to the games in scotland

    shame on scottish football

  8. Ellboy - I am Neil Lennon, YNWA. on

Unfortunately the three comedians on STV just now is exactly the kind of attitudes that is running, sorry ruining our game. Liars and cheats with no hint of embarrassment or apology. They just don’t care and still have the ‘we ara peepul’ filth spewing from their beings. It’s everyone else who has it in for the cheats, no wonder Alex Thomson had a look of disbelief. Welcome to Scotland Alex.

  9. From Garngad to Croy I am Neil Lennon. on

Stv should have got that wee professor historian guy to talk about ‘Glasgow Rangers’

  10. A T was the only one to talk any sense,

would be good to see him on an hour length show

instead of a stupid 10 mins,at least he could highlight the

pish that the others talk and ask some questions as to

how they are breaking every rule in the book to force things through

  11. Gordy……

    Smudger sports a ‘Davy Crockett’……….who’d a guessed!

  12. It takes some skill to put together an item as bad as that, but STV have excelled themselves again.

Seriously, it cannot be incompetence – this is Soviet era reporting.

For a start the guests: Smith- director of football at RFC during a period when they failed to pay a penny in tax. Is nonetheless allowed to spout on about their “contribution” to the economy.

Archie: Dear God, did they trawl the bars looking for him? – utterly incoherent and appeared only dimly aware of the circumstances of RFC’s demise. Nastily cast aspertions on the motives of fans who object to Zombie Club’s “return”. Patronising and not in any way relevant since about, ooh, 1989?

Daily Mail bloke: Claimed sagely that Rupert Murdoch was the most important factor. As if Murdoch – an octogenarian Aussie-cum-Yank, with a personal fortune running into billions, and a media empire that spans Australasia, Europe, North America, and China – a man with about 10 kids all vying for his job, and whose company is embroiled in massive arguments with politicians all over the world – as if this man CARES A FLYING BANANA what happens to £15millon a year in Scotland!

Ludicrous. Only Thomson made an sense at all. I am totally embarrassed that this is what passes for journalism and informed comment in Scotland. Everyone involved in that production – and I mean everyone – should seriously consider whether a job in television is really for them…

  13. How could they not at least have run for half an hour

instead of the rubbish thats on now

under the Spoiler. Make a coffe first, its long but the reply from Doncaster is dismissive and his eventual reply, which is what actually happened is not what was coming from his mouthpieces in the MSMin Feb. Hugh Keevins from memory said Doncaster said it would be the 6 man SPL Board who would vote and I am sure you could find evidence of this (or ask Keevins).

I made that point slightly earlier, pretty unforgivable, even allowing for stupidity and incompetence as you say.

  16. probably the funniest 5 mins of tv in the whole saga.

daily mail guy chinless wonder bumbles on.

wiggy smith says it wouldnt happen to barcelona (who didnt cheat taxes).

archie went on a rant , and came across as some mad old eejit.

thommo didnt say much other than, should them cheats win

  17. thomthethim CQN (genuine) Badge Wearer on

    Dreadful from STV.

    Obvious pro “Rangers” agenda.

    Lost any respect for Mc.Pherson.

He forcebly pushed the “hate” bi tton

The journo completly wrote off supporters.

Smith is just Smith. What it says on the tin.

The stench of fear was prominent and even smothered te smell of all the elephants in the studio.

    Alex wept.

    Smith was just Smith

  18. got to laugh when they talk about the loss to the economy (pay your tax)

    myth about money

lie – newco fans will have nothing to spend their money on if rangers are not in spl, truth – there are towns and shops throught scotland who will benefit from newco fans – spreading the wealth – media should love that lol

truth – if newco fans follow in fewer numbers more newco fans will spend a little more of alcohol and drugs in the west of scotland – successful story.

  19. Decided not to watch then changed my mind because AT was on. He must now know the chicanory going on to assist the huns’ continued existence in the form of Sevco Huns. Macpherson, a self proclaimed friend of Big Jock he could be, but he is not a friend of Celtic. An old bitter hurting hun squirming at the thought of their total obliteration. Smith harping on about the great institution being subjected to hate. They practiced institutionalised hate throughout their existence. The MSM toad fighting for his job. The presenter asking questions to all three knowing their answers would support the huns case. Sweet Lord Alex you have learned enough tonight to fill a hundred blogs.

  20. While I agree AT spoke sense , it’s not difficult when you see what he was up against – 3 hurting huns .

AT should have pulled them up more when they were pushing their untruths , we need to take every opportunity to challenge their lies.

  21. 67Heaven ... I am Neil Lennon..!!.. Ibrox belongs to the creditors on

What makes me really laugh is the statement that, if the SFL Clubs vote for DIV3, the SPL will bring in SPL2, and allow sevco to join it ..!!!??…. They had better not try that one……if they do, the fans will not attends matches in an obviously corrupt SPL……..scandalous, but let’s just wait and see what happens tomorrow…..

  22. 67Heaven ... I am Neil Lennon..!!.. Ibrox belongs to the creditors on

AT did fine…..l.like the rest of us watching, he sat back watching the desperate ‘crawling’, firing in a missile now and again…..

  23. the voting structure is interesting.

9.1 should you find a handsome hun, then that club will be top of the league,

    doncaster & reagen ?

  24. Meanwhile over on FF

Re: this whole gained advantage thing

No way in this World did we gain advantage.

We would still have signed the same players with or without EBT’s

These silly wee teams that have been dragged into the mhankies web should also realise this but due to timmy’s propaganda.

How much money did the likes of Laudrup Be Boer Gascoine add on to their gate receipts ?

    So we gained feck all

Re: this whole gained advantage thing

The point being COULD we afford RDB, Laudrup Gio etc without EBTs? Undoubtedly yes. No question.

Therefor we didn’t gain an advantage by using them, the players earned more by using them but where is the proof that these players wouldn’t have been here without them.

    Oh and finally……………….THE WEREN’T ILLEGAL!!!!!!!

  25. Saint Stivs

most pathetic thing was that it lasted a sole 13mins !

instead of some robust wide-ranging debate

national commercial broadcaster squeezes the topic in between the weather report and some feature about a museum or suchlike

  26. stephbhoy on 12 July, 2012 at 22:55

I think you’re sadly mistaken stephboy

SFL clubs invited into SPL2 will jump at the chance.

Unless I’m very much mistaken, it will be something akin to starving dogs fighting over scraps except messier.

  27. The Green Man on

Anyone know any details about this demo in the morning?

I want to show my opposition to this corruption.

totally agree, i would like to see the sfl voting no just so that it does go back to the spl. spl 2 could kill full-time professional football dead no fans = no interest = no t.v = see you later

if celtic allow that to happen then sorry games a boggy and i am sure most fans from every other club from the spl to the sfl will see it that way too!

  29. Wiggy in denial that oldhuns are dead. Still going on about world’s most successful club blah blah. Is he really that thick or is he just toeing the ff party line?

Archie? Asking whether it is really a moral arguement about newhuns or just shear hatred towards them. Shameful performance from someone that people on this blog veer towards. Just an demented old hun I’m afraid.

McGowan? A lightweight. Nothing about him at all. A no mark journo.

  30. I think people need to either be careful re an AT love, or alternatively not expect too much from him all the time. ok, we would have loved him to have got tore into Duffield, asking for example about receiving and blind eyeing EBTs while at the huns/at the SFA, but he didn’t; but surely there was an open goal to ask a handful of questions re what his fellow panelists refer to as ‘Rangers’; could he not have said that Rangers were actually dead? could he not have asked if Charles Green had passed a fit and proper test? could he not have asked if they knew if they had money to buy players, if it was acceptable to let a new club in with no audited accounts and no players? And as for Duffield’s ‘don’t forget the economics for the economy’ astute uttering, what about screwing the country and the game of money for decades? Sorry, pathetic effort imo.

The wailing and gnashing of teeth over on FF when the Der Hunne is stripped of their cheating honours will be a joy to behold.

  32. Just watching that STV mince.

Wiggy boldy claims the Hun Newco want to go into the 3rd division.

    Do they really?

(He missed out the addendum of ..”in three years” after playing at Junior level

Sparkleghirl @ 17:30 – Great point. That they cannot be trusted by any football supporter says it all.

Tamrabam @ 19:49 – Another great point. Stupid huns.
