CQN Vanessa Riddle Fundraiser

1180

I’m enjoying the chat as much as anyone these days but I know you all remember what were really about as a club.  We have an update on the CQN Vanessa Riddle pop quiz fundraiser which will be held at Jury’s hotel, Glasgow on the evening of Saturday February 11.

The great news is that Frank O’Hagan has agreed to come along and do a set to close the quiz off. Frank’s third CD – Green Light to Freedom – will be mixed and mastered in the studio over the next month. Frank is also doing a concert with his band in the Backstage at the Green Hotel, Kinross on Saturday 18th February. Details are on Frank’s website web. Frank is a top class musician is a terrific live performer. He is also a lovely guy, so we’re just absolutely over the moon to have Frank along. Our good friends at Carling are donating some prizes too, which is also excellent news.

We have some spaces left so if you want to come along, visit Taggsybhoy’s music quiz homepage and contact him with your team name and numbers (max of 6 to a  team). He will let you know if you are successful. It is first come, first served. Vanessa Riddle Appeal

I’m off to contemplate the false value of cheap laptop hard disks. One day lost and counting, damn you HP!

I think Jack’s problem was with me!

I turned up to watch the first eleven play on a holiday of obligation, i.e. a non school day.

It was probably the 8th Dec., as it was a cold, frosty morning.

Anyway, I broke the rules, by wearing a Celtic scarf. I thought that the rule would only apply to school days.

Thereafter, when our class turned up for PE, he made me stand out in the corridor and not take part in the class.

The upside of that is that I had the chance to admire your mother and the Exotic One’s lovely legs, as they passed up and down between gyms!! No one else wore short skirts then!!

I never played for the under -13s, as I thought of myself as a speedy, tricky, left winger. Nobody else did.

The following year, Innes MacDonald, a PE teacher at the time, told me to try out for centre half, which I did.

A French teacher, Peter Jardine, took the under 14’A team and I played for him.

The following year, the under 15s were coached by Owen Carrol and I played for him before I was Sine Died.

I think the boys your father coached would have been a couple of years older than me.

I think the lad Woods had a sister, who was a good athlete and netball player.

The best player in that team was a lad called Pat Page, who, I think, got a trial with Queens Park and I think, played for them.

I still have a photo of our Under 14’s and I could send it via e-mail attachment, if I had an address.

I could send it via Paul, if you like.

When it comes to club licencing and the licencing process that the SFA have to follow UEFA sets out the rules. However when it comes to how a league like the SPL constitutes itself I am not aware if the same prescriptive instructions apply.

UEFA might take the view each league to its own and the SFA would follow suit. However the process you are questioning if it disenfranchises the members of that league (as the idea that the SPL Board decides does) then the point might be worth raising at UEFA.

The problem is that if the member clubs are happy to be disenfranchised on the who decides issue, UEFA will say it is outside their control. A lot depends on the clubs wanting to pass the buck and avoid their support seeing the way they will vote.

I suppose if the accounts were signed off by a qualified company the SFA would accept it as legit. Only my opinion though mate.

PF Ayr may be better placed to give you a more qualified opinion.

I’m away to look at my stamp collection. I’ve wasted enough time waiting on Amadeus and Clyde SSB is rubbish. Check in later.

Geez now they are telling us what “real Celtic fans” want and think about Rangers’ participation in Scottish football

Got a wee bit mixed up I meant was he tim or a hun (OAP now thats my excuse)

  7. Jeg er Neil Lennon-Greeninbingley on

A constant embarrassment and an occasional disgrace.

Weren’t those the words the last proper Scottish sports journalist, Ian Archer, used to describe the Huns?

Someone on the blog recently commented: “What happens in the playground when the bully gets expelled?”

That’s all the words you need to blow the Scotland needs Rangers BS out the water.

  8. I don’t know any Celtic fan who does not want to see them disappear into oblivion.

As for season ticket sales at Celtic suffering, I know for a fact mine will be renewed with or hopefully without them.

  9. Jeg er Neil Lennon-Greeninbingley on

Oh and as a PS – don’t listen to Clyde. It’s bad for you, and good for them.

  10. Angelgabriel

Back on now if u are about, been suggested the Bruces Well might be the best of the lot any thoughts?

  11. The Ghood will prevail on

rodger is the most dishonest journo on clyde – and that’s saying something. He’s trotting out the ‘we need rangers’ rubbish, and he said earlier that both sides of the old firm are shopping in the same market now.

Lalalalalalala – can’t hear you lalalalalala rangers aren’t going to the wall lalalalala craig whyte should be given the benefiot of the doubt lalalalala

  12. The fuds on snyde are missing the point, the hun will be at the level of the Saints or Dunfermline, there won’t be any derby game to speak of.

I want them to die a slow death, the slower the better, I want them to suffer like nobody has ever suffered in the past.

Now we have a delided hun on

  13. The Ghood will prevail on

Rodger also said that celtic ’94 and huns ’12 are totally different circumstances.

No they are not. Both clubs faced/face oblivion.

The only difference is that no one in ’94 was calling for celtic to be saved. We weren’t told that rangers ‘needed’ celtic.

  14. Evening all,

Quick question : Has anybody ever noticed how the Lion Rampant incorporated in the Daily Record logo is EXACTLY the same as the one featured on the hun badge ?

    Hmmm ?

  15. Am i missing something the argument for keeping Rangers alive is so we, Celtic, will have a couple of games against Rangers each season and Rangers being in the league will ensure we will not run away with the title each season. Eh? well if Rankers go into admin and subsequently have no money to buy players how are they going to stop us running away with the title for the next decade regardless. Has anyone considered that Rangers attendance figures will be back to a pre Souness level. Please someone make this point to the fecking idiots on Snyde.

  16. Did they stop taking emails on Snyde?

Thinking of penning an email to ask Dalziel how many real season ticket holding Celtic fans he knows that want Rangers to get off scot free for cheating.
