CQN Vanessa Riddle Fundraiser

1180

I’m enjoying the chat as much as anyone these days but I know you all remember what were really about as a club.  We have an update on the CQN Vanessa Riddle pop quiz fundraiser which will be held at Jury’s hotel, Glasgow on the evening of Saturday February 11.

The great news is that Frank O’Hagan has agreed to come along and do a set to close the quiz off. Frank’s third CD – Green Light to Freedom – will be mixed and mastered in the studio over the next month. Frank is also doing a concert with his band in the Backstage at the Green Hotel, Kinross on Saturday 18th February. Details are on Frank’s website web. Frank is a top class musician is a terrific live performer. He is also a lovely guy, so we’re just absolutely over the moon to have Frank along. Our good friends at Carling are donating some prizes too, which is also excellent news.

We have some spaces left so if you want to come along, visit Taggsybhoy’s music quiz homepage and contact him with your team name and numbers (max of 6 to a  team). He will let you know if you are successful. It is first come, first served. Vanessa Riddle Appeal

I’m off to contemplate the false value of cheap laptop hard disks. One day lost and counting, damn you HP!

  1. Good morning friends and a Big Happy Friday from a cold (but not as cold as some ‘experts’ were predicting) and dry East Kilbride.

    Cold? What you mean?

It’s -26 C now here, Cold from Siberia which happens every few years. Few days with that temperature. From +32 in August to that what we have now. +10C two weeks back.

    Hope this helps

  6. Good morning all, very brisk to say the least in G71. Seems Mr Lennon is vindicated in bringing in another striker at the beginning of the week, with Bangura likely to miss the majority of what’s left of the season. Fantastic decision, hopefully our new Polish friend does a turn.

Rangers have not been maintaining their payments of VAT in a “timeous” manner.

That just resonates with me :o)

I am Maximus Decimus Timeous and I will have my payment in this life or the newco!

“… Defence advocate Duncan McPhie will give his plea in mitigation then.”

Mitigating circumstances? What mitigating circumstances can there ever be for posting pictures of someone covered in bullet wounds and wanting to be the one that pull the trigger? Short of somethings detached in head, I can think of nothing that could or would offer satisfactory mitigation. So, with all that said…

‘We arra peepul’ will be pretty much it? Seems that’s all you need to get off in Scotland nowadays.

Wednesday 8th February – half day already taken, and the following day off too as a security measure (not that I’m ever involved in anything untoward at a football match, you understand – just fancy a few beers and don’t fancy a dicey drive to work on the Thursday!).

Would also like to see us get a couple of early goals, it’s good for my aul ticker but doesn’t happen often enough.

Any win will do, of course: always good to see Butcher “pure raging” at the end.

Amadeus must go to the smoke next week and will therefore be running his info past the esteemed starry plough should he have any.

Can’t see there being any problems my end mate so looking forward to it. I’ve to go to Jordan in March but it will take a couple of weeks to get the contract and visa sorted so pint fest it is :-)

I’m getting daggers from the woman so i better log off, Just getting the bets done haha. Will catch up with you when i get home.

  17. Amadeus: His name is Andrew Andronikou and his role is the Portsmouth administrator.

In other words, his job is to oversee the finances of a failing company. To administer the club’s fiscal affairs.

And yet the man himself seems to be enjoying his 15 minutes a little too much.

From the moment he arrived he allowed himself, for reasons best known to himself, to be pictured holding a Pompey scarf above his head as if he were the new chairman rather than the man brought in to try to stabilise a sinking ship.

Admin will not be the next move, it makes no sence for Mr Whyte and his band of merry men, the hun are going down and the only way that they can make any money is via the blender.

  22. Forget about the admin and all that rubbish, for now,

we have a football match to win, and they have one to lose!

    Football?
