CQN Vanessa Riddle Fundraiser

I’m enjoying the chat as much as anyone these days but I know you all remember what were really about as a club.  We have an update on the CQN Vanessa Riddle pop quiz fundraiser which will be held at Jury’s hotel, Glasgow on the evening of Saturday February 11.

The great news is that Frank O’Hagan has agreed to come along and do a set to close the quiz off. Frank’s third CD – Green Light to Freedom – will be mixed and mastered in the studio over the next month. Frank is also doing a concert with his band in the Backstage at the Green Hotel, Kinross on Saturday 18th February. Details are on Frank’s website web. Frank is a top class musician is a terrific live performer. He is also a lovely guy, so we’re just absolutely over the moon to have Frank along. Our good friends at Carling are donating some prizes too, which is also excellent news.

We have some spaces left so if you want to come along, visit Taggsybhoy’s music quiz homepage and contact him with your team name and numbers (max of 6 to a  team). He will let you know if you are successful. It is first come, first served. Vanessa Riddle Appeal

I’m off to contemplate the false value of cheap laptop hard disks. One day lost and counting, damn you HP!

I know you may have exciting news but please retract the statement about David Murray. Extreme bad taste and not what I would like to see on a Celtic site.

  4. You might think that about Murray, but you can be assured that man is an animal, and I stand by my words.

Do you have personal experience of that person?

I do. What I know might change your mind.

All will be revealed soon enough.

If you think you can handle the evil ones, then do so.

Some people are just not right.

    Murray is one.

Not a good chap, trust me.

    Afternoon CQN,

had the pleasure of Celticrollercoaster’s company last night. Tremendous evening:)

Are you sure it’s the same crc ,who’s on here?

Only met the guy once, couldny go him.

Perhaps the Celtic Park DJ could emulate Chelsea and St. Johnstone ubtil the end of the season and play ‘The Liquidator’ before each game.

  9. I understand the qualms regarding Murray, but bear with me on this.

You might soon know, he’s not such a good guy.

    Evil, I’d say.

Still, apologies for any offence caused.

Oh man, when the story is told…

Still can’t accept anyone celebrating someone losing their legs no matter what they have done. I must be too soft. It’s a free world though. Each to their own.

Are you going to add your name and address to your “scoop”?

In case anyone’s lawyer wants to get in touch with you.

  12. Ellboy - I am Neil Lennon, YNWA. on

Agree with the comments re Murray just not funny or befitting of a quality Celtic site.

No matter you’re opinion of someone. Very poor taste.

  13. amadeus sounds to me like a Bun on the wind up. Very crass statement to make regarding Murray however much you might despise him.

  14. celticrollercoaster says In Neil we trust on

Thanks for that. It’s amazing how beer dulls the mind:-)

  15. Again, I apologise.

I just happen to have personal knowledge of Murray and that may give me an agenda towards him and his ilk.

The fact is, he’s not a nice person.

    I mean really not good.

All is fair in love and war, and this is war.

Nevertheless, as usual, I may have gone over the top, and therefore implore your understanding.

Ask anybody who has had dealings with Minty, see what they say.

    A remorseful Amadeus

  16. I agree with folly folly, we are better than that,

    I have been found lacking.

    Nobody’s perfect.

  17. celticrollercoaster says In Neil we trust on

hope the scoop is worth the grief your getting :-)

Fair play for the apology. Most business men with the wealth of Mr Murray will be ruthless. nature of the beast in some businesses if you want to be successful. I’m far too nice that’s why I’m skint!

  19. So, Amadeus, in this new-found spirit of contrition, what are the odds on letting the cat oot the bag a wee bit early … ?

Lottery winner has just bought Rangers… A family member said God knows what he’d have done if he’d had 4 numbers!!!

    Not CQN.

    A shocking story.

I really hope this isn’t true. I wouldn’t be surprised in this country though. Did he settle up?

  23. Moonbeams

Sorry for the delay in responding.

Article 14 says oldco lose their share if they are in administration or liquidation. The next thing which has to happen is that a vote is taken as to which club their share is transferred. Remember that the transferree must be a person who owns and operates a club which is replacing TFOD. In my opinion this cannot be newco if they are so closely allied with oldco that they are practically one and the same.

I hope we are not at cross purposes. I just hope my view of it is correct as it would suggest newco have a rocky road ahead of it.

  24. Murray was well known for his dealings in Glasgow. He had no sympathy or ethic, he crushed a thousand honest souls, bankrupting some, destroying others .

He traded on the morals of others, and thought it was a right joke.

Not only that, he was vindictive and cruel.

Find me one man in Scotland who would do a deal with that guy.

    Happy hunting!

Oh yeah, there was that Craig…

  25. Dead and Loving it on

I would agree that the part about his legs is in poor taste, the rest of it is spot on

many years ago before he got involved with rangers, sir minty could be found at quite a few ice hockey games

at one of these games that was through in edinburgh, he was asked did he want to buy some advertising space at easter road,

his reply was , my money will never be near a catholic football team, arise sir minty
