CRACKSHOT KYOGO STRIKES AGAIN

KYOGO FURUHASHI was back in the goal routine when he claimed a trademark strike in Celtic’s 4-3 win over Manchester City in North Carolina this morning.

The Japanese striker stuttered a bit last season when he completed the campaign with only 19 goals after a haul of 34 the previous term.

However, the fleet-footed forward emphasised he is getting up to pace with an superb effort against Pep Guardiola’s English Premier champions to give the Hoops a 3-1 interval advantage.

SMILES BETTER…Kyogo Furuhashi celebrates Celtic’s third goal against Manchester City.

Nicolas Kuhn had fired two past the helpless Ortega before Kyogo piled on the misery as he raced onto a cute outside-of-the-boot defence-splitting pass from the German winger.

Kyogo didn’t hesitate as he burst free of the bewildered City back line before drawing the exposed keeper from his line and sidetsepping him with nonchalant ease and stroking a right-foot finish in at the near post.

The vast contingent of the Hoops support lapped up the eye-catching strike from the pacy frontman.

And the fans went home happy after Luis Palma rolled in the winner 15 minutes from time.
