Since July I’ve written about the over-dependence we have on Kris Commons as a creative player. He’s pretty much our only option, and if he’s not fancied, injured, suspended or just off-form, we look like a team full of energy but without a key to open the door.
It may be that Ronny doesn’t figure on having a classic No. 10 in his team, and it’s more than possible that we won’t play one against European heavyweights, but against packed SPFL defences, we need someone who can create space in dangerous areas.
As we mentioned last month, some years ago Celtic reportedly looked at Bosnian international, Semir Stilic, while he was at Lech Poznan. His star faded before a journey through Ukrainian and Turkish football before he returned to Poland with Wisla Krakow 12 months ago on an 18 month contract. Since then he’s been a sensation and has kept Wisla in touch with the top of the table.
He’s refused a new contract offer from Wisla and is subject to a bid from Dinamo Zagreb, thought to be in the region of €250k. He’s likely to be on circa €2k per week. We’ve scouted the player, he’s soon out of contract, going cheap, on low wages, on form and we’re short of what he can give.
This is the kind of player Dinamo Zagreb pick up for buttons and enables them to compete as effectively as they did against Celtic with a fraction of our budget. He has the making of an effective January signing.

Really getting to the end of my tether with this situation with the Hun.
I really really want someone from our club to put the boot in , tell them a few home truths and to hell with the SFA penalties.
They seem to do as they wish , unhindered and u contradicted in the same club farce , clinging onto the LNS enquiry that no sporting advantage was gained.
If our club cannot/ will not speak out, can we not as a support raise funds and take them to a court of law?
Probably clutching at straws but what should be the best days are rapidly turning into the worst.
I know that if we remain silent and let them away with this WE will pay for being spineless .
We will pay because the support, already fractured will stay away in greater numbers.
The time for action is now.
We are Scotland’s premier club and must start behaving like it.
If not I really fear for our future as many will not line up behind our behing our spineless OF loving board

Just get a wee bit pissed off with the same tune coming from the same trumpets ……. there is a mountain of positive aspects to being a Celtic Supporter …….. IIRC,Paul Simon was quite fond of recording in strange surroundings which suited a particular track.
And really p’d off when it was decided that Art Garfunkel’s voice was a better suit for A Bridge Over Troubled Water.
If it was up to the manager we would be signing the likes of Ryan Christie, Stuart Armstrong, John McGinn, Peter Pawlett, Gary Mackay Steven to name a few of young Scottish talent already proving they are more than good enough in our league. But as we know it’s not up to the manager, it’s up to the super scout and the accountant and we are more likely to sign a Dudu Dahan player than local talent.

Gary Mackay Steven has been struggling to get into the Dundee Utd team.
I don’t know if any of the players you listed would get into our starting 11, and we have enough squad players.
Not writing them off, but playing in wide open games for other teams is one thing, playing with packed defences in front of a crowd ready to jump on your back for a misplaced pass at Celtic is another.
