CROCKED DUO EURO BOOST

KYOGO FURUHASHI and David Turnbull, who have both missed Celtic’s six games this year, have been included in Ange Postecoglou’s Europa Conference League squad.

The Japanese striker, the club’s top scorer with 16 goals, has been missing since limping off early in the 3-1 Boxing Day win over St Johnstone at McDiarmid Park.

And Scotland international midfielder Turnbull has been out of action since damaging a hamstring in the first-half of the Premier Sports League Cup Final against Hibs on December 19 when Kyogo struck two goals in the 2-1 silverware success.

However, the double-act have been given the nod by the manager for the UEFA pool of players for the ties against the Norwegians of Bodo/Glimt with the first leg due in the east end of Glasgow a week on Thursday.

Missing, though, will be midfielder Ismaila Soro who made a late substitute appearance in last week’s 3-0 win over Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s Ibrox side when the Hoops swept to the top of the Premiership for the first time this season.

There is still a chance the Ivorian could be on the move from Parkhead, either on loan or permanent basis, with some transfer windows still open in Europe until the end of next month.

Also out is Japanese midfielder Yosuke Ideguchi who made his debut as a substitute in the 2-0 win over Hibs at Parkhead three weeks ago, but had to be helped from the field on his first start the following weekend in the 2-1 Scottish Cup victory at roughhouse Alloa.

The Hogmanay arrival was injured after a follow-through challenge on an ankle by Mouhamed Niang who was merely booked by lenient referee Don Robertson before being banned for two games in retrospective action from the SFA.
