DALGLISH PREDICTS: ‘IT’LL BE EIGHT-IN-A-ROW FOR CELTIC’

CELTIC legend Kenny Dalglish has had a look at the forthcoming Premiership season – and he unhesitatingly tips his old team for their eighth successive crown.

And the Hoops hero has warned Ibrox fans: “Miracles do not happen!”

Dalglish said: “Celtic, rightly, are clear favourites and every other club will have a tough job on their hands trying to topple them.

“So, I expect Brendan Rodgers and his players to make it eight-in-a-row. However, I also think they will be pushed extremely hard and be taken closer than they have been for many years.

“Rangers will be expected to mount the most serious of challenges and I can see that being the case.

“But don’t be looking for anything unrealistic from them. Miracles do not happen.

“Overall, I’m certain the product will be very good in the top flight of Scottish football and I hope Aberdeen, Hibs, Kilmarnock and Hearts can kick on again from last season.

“They helped bring entertaining football to the division and also one or two shocks along the way. That’s what the fans – and the broadcasters – want.

“St Mirren and Livingston will do well to pull clear of the bottom end of the table. Finishing anywhere above 11th place for either side would be a magnificent achievement.”
