Deadline day is as it should be

Deadline day is as it should be.  Celtic have completed the business which they hope will see them through to the title in May (or April).  There is a sub-squad of peripheral players who may get a loan, while Giorgos Giakoumakis is expected to leave for Atlanta in the North American closed shop.  The MLS window is open until April, which introduces an anomaly for Celtic to consider.

With two in and two out in defence, a striker in and Giorgos probably heading out, the first team squad is net up a central midfielder – Tomoki Iwata.  Without closing doors on development opportunities open to our recent additions, it is hard to see the value in adding new bodies without others going out.

  1. Forgot to say in previous post that the main clubs in Portugal don’t just do their shopping in South America but also are adept at scouting the lesser European leagues.

You were telling us the refs would not allow us to win this league before var was introduced. Since var our lead has increased rather than diminished. You said it again today.

So when does the big collapse begin?

    Where did i say that?

  5. Tom Mc , i don’t get your stance on the scottish referee situation. It seems you think they are fair (?)

See history of issues with SFA concerning Celtic for indicators. Ange has now stated we need to score more goals to combat the way decisions are made. (like Stein did). WHY should Celtic need to adopt that attitude if we felt the games were managed fairly ?

I consider myself a balanced rational Celtic supporter – i can’t find any way of accepting PATTERNS of decisions against Celtic and for Rangers as anything but out of the ordinary and in line with normal variations in world football.

Its ludicrous Rangers have not conceded a penalty despite multiple occasions of ball hitting defenders arms, its ludicrous that rangers play against 10 so regularly , its ludicrous that Celtic are on the receiving end of so much controversy and they are not and finally its ludicrous the amount of penalties they are awarded.

We are getting away with it due to late goals and great character – sooner or later this will catch up with this team! i’m sure of it.

Zombie refs deny Celtic points ?

Nothing out of this world or even mildly irrational about that ,if you’ve lived our lives. Very nearly managed it more than once and that’s only since VAR.

It is rational that Sevco could and would have dropped points were it not for blatant cheating and Celtic’s lead would have been more than nine points. When your closest rival continues unabated with zero adverse VAR revised decisions l, Celtic need to be on the very top of our game.

The league is far from won given the number of games, including two against them.

  7. it must be great to start a game knowing that you are not going to concede a pen ,get one yourself , the other teaming down to 10 men, excessive added on time to aid a victory or shortened added on time to ensure you don’t draw or lose ,mib that are on your side and var decisions always going your way .

  15. The question that needs to be asked and answered is whether, at the end of the day, is whether we are stronger going into what will hopefully be the next twenty games of this season. And the verdict has to be that the Jury is out.

Oh vs GG; don’t know yet but we can draw parallels after 38 games(tried this joke 3 times)
