Dear CQN,
I sent the following to Rangers 1872 and will let you know if I get a reply…
Dear Rangers 1872,
I read with interest your Press Release regarding the request to ban Celtic fans from forthcoming matches at Ibrox after events at Celtic Park during the Glasgow Derby on Saturday 10/09/2016.
As a Celtic season ticket holder of a number of years I agree with your condemnation of the effigies of The Rangers Fans being hung during the game it was wholly and totally unacceptable anywhere let alone a football match. I also condemn, amongst other things, the fan who had a flag that said “Kill all Huns” and the banner stating “Know You Place Hun Scum”. None of these has any place at a football match.
However, at the same time, I would ask if you will condemn the following?
I would trust that in your desire to remove sectarianism and bigotry from football in Glasgow and Scotland that you will have a view on the points raised above.
I look forward to your reply.”
Thanks
