DECISION TIME FOR SHVED

MARIAN SHVED’S Celtic career could be decided over the next few eeks.

The 22-year-old Ukrainian winger was brought to the Hoops by ex-boss Brendan Rodgers in a £2million deal in January last year before being immediately loaned back to his club, Karpaty Lviv.

Shved made only three fleeting substitute appearances for Neil Lennon during the season and has failed to figure in the Irishman’s plans.

Now his former team club side are poised to launch a new bid to take him back on another temporary switch, according to a report in the Scottish Sun.

Shved, who scored a spectacular second goal only minutes after coming off the bench in the 2-0 away Champions League qualifying win over Nomme Kalju in July, will report back with the rest of his team-mates on Thursday.

Karpaty are monitoring the player’s situation and Ukrainian rivals Oleksandriya are also showing an interest in the international flanker.

Lennon, who sold wide players Scott Sinclair to Preston and Lewis Morgan to Inter Miami in January, is also set to lose Daniel Arzani at the completion of his injury-jinxed two-year deal from Manchester City.

He is likely to give Shed another chance to impress him before he makes his decision about his future.
