Tony Bloom was courting Hearts as an investment target in May last year when they appointed Derek McInnes but his Jamestown Analytics was already retained by the club. A few of us were surprised; McInnes was a well-known quantity in Scotland, in particular as Aberdeen manager for eight years.
We expected that under Bloom’s influence, Hearts would be a bit more innovative, go do what Motherwell managed with Jens Berthel Askou. That decision may well have cost Hearts the title. If I am sure about anything, it is that they have talent targetted to take the club forward. They will appoint a stronger manager next season.

The maximum capacity for the velodrome is 4000 for major event’s, that’s nothing. Is the velodrome overflow parking area the problem, our busses use it?

I might be misremembering but I think that McInnes was appointed by their board before Bloom came onbaord and that Jamestown analytics didn’t play a big part in it. They did say at the time they wanted someone with experience of and an understanding of Scottish football which obviously means they’ll be looking at a much bigger pool of talent to cast their net in this time.

Like most statements from Celtic, this one (from which I’ve copied a single para above) is well written, professional and coherent.
Like most statements from Celtic bearing bad news from a 3rd party this one tries to find a balance between reason and subtle dig …
… but lands much closer to the former at the expense of the latter.

The Celtic hierarchy clearly have to hold their noses when dealing with the bumbling idiots who run that outfit.
Paranoia suggests Police Scotland getting revenge; realistically, if there is Commonwealth Games at the Velodrome, plod probably is stretched.
Also a Monday night game gives us an extra two and a half days to appoint coaches and sign our first player. So maybe the polis are doing us a favour.
For the Champions of Scotland to have their opening game on a Monday evening is nothing short of insulting.
It is a major blow to the team, the manager, the supporters, tourism and hospitality.
In 2018 Celtic via Peter Lawwell instigated an Economic Impact Statement undertaken by the Fraser of Allander Institute.
This showed in clear detail our economic value to Scotland and Glasgow in particular.
From an impressive figure this has grown significantly to become one of the top Scottish economic assets.
What establishment would treat such an economic asset so abysmally.?
One off alternative events should be the ones to move. We will still be contributing to our economy when they are long gone.
We are being treated with contempt and we must retaliate. Firstly we should announce that there will be no huns in Paradise this year with no negotiation and will review all other clubs allocation at a time of our choosing.
We have many levers at our disposal, we just need clever focused people to pull them.

Given they aren’t seeded in the playoffs theres a very high chance that Hearts won’t be playing European groups football next season. The teams they’ll get in the CL and the Europa qualifiers if they drop down are very tough
With a new head coach and his staff and without a few key players they’ll struggle early on against better opposition. Not good for us if they have a similar season to last when they played 15 games less

So,since PL left,we have had a temporary Chairman.Since Kyogo left,we have not replaced our striker.Since the ,” Mr Fixit” conman left,we have not replaced him.At this moment,our manager does not know who his assistants will be.Since Jotas injury,and Kuhn leaving,we have not replaced both wingers,with any real quality.
What we have sprung into action with is replace our business financial guy.
I think that sums up what’s important at our club.Oh,yes,we have now replaced all 3 strips for this season.Not a mention of a signing to replace those most likely to go,only replacement strips.

I don’t think after the pitch invasions at the end of the season football is very popular with non-football people, politicians or the police. The fallout from the final day played out for days, weeks. Nobody is doing us any favours
