Dedryck after his MVP performance and Craig

1282

Appropriate appreciation is due to Dedryk Boyata for his MVP performance on Wednesday. He scored the goal that won the points, could have scored more and made the most impressive defensive intervention of the game.

If scouts were in the Celtic Park stand watching, he did all he could to entice an offer, but a sample size of one game is not enough to validate a change in form for me.

Brendan has a big selection decision to make for Hearts on Sunday. You could argue he’s got the best from Patrick Roberts by bringing him on as a substitute in Celtic’s last four games, the most recent three of which the player considerably lifted the Celtic performance. Patrick will be wondering what he needs to do to get a start.

Chelsea want to sign Craig Gordon? No surprise there, they did sign Magnus Hedman a year after he left Celtic, after all. Craig is playing well and a reliable cog in an effective defensive wheel. But you know me. This far off the qualifiers, it’s all about the price as far as I’m concerned.

Everyone has a price, to think otherwise is to deny the future exists.

I certainly would not want to be going into crucial CL qualifiers with Dorus between the sticks.

  2. Kitalba

Football success first and always. Why risk this crucial position when he is sttled here, if his contract /salary needs looked at do it.

Martin Luther King only had one voice, as did Rosa Prark,s only have one butt and Bobby Sands only have one ‘hunger strike’.

Propping up the corrupt is a life decision.

Bring down the SFA…. I really don’t think it is that hard to do. But it won’t be done without sacrifice, and affiliation.

The power to determine the veracity and worth of our sport is in the hands of the supporters; the supporters of all clubs in Scotland, it always has been and it always will be. If we all want the game truly – leveled – then all we have to do is stop the selfish procrastinator and grasp the nettle. Just for one year.

As a demographic we won’t do it, as a broader Scottish society, we won’t do it. So we are lumbered in purgatory with the corruption we feed on to quench our own vainglorious.

  5. BOBBY MURDOCH’S CURLED-UP WINKLEPICKERS:

So am I. I’m so glad he came to us, I wasn’t at the time but he has worked so hard to become the player he is. I don’t know why but when I look at Craig Gordon I find myself likening him to Andy Murray (sic Sir, since he voted YES)

  6. Kitalba

The supporters were taken to a line they would not cross back in 2012 and succeeded in stopping the injustice of Sevco beginning life in the top division, by threatening not to renew season tickets.

Don’t know what it will take to sicken them to the same extent again.

  7. 50 Shades, thanks for that – was out for the ‘messages’ so missed your post at the time.

Having read through the blurb from the Club I PRESUME that my more senior neebor is not included in the ‘concession upgrade’ groups as the over 65’s are not specifically mentioned, only the under-age groups, students and overseas ticket holders? It’s not the clearest of statements.

Anyway, I will pass this on to him on Sunday and hope that when he turns up at the gate that day his ticket is not barred!

The ELEPHANT in the room is the 5 Way Agreement.

Apparently you as a paying supporter into the well-being of Scottish football and not security cleared to know the contents of that AGREEMENT.

In other words… you are a pleb, I am a pleb, lets you and I and all of us just give them our money and live the life of a PLEB. Our silent servitude will determine the worth of our children, in a masonic Alba dominated world.

Or you might just say “I’ve had enough of this shite” and pro-act accordingly.

  9. Brendan informed Craig Gordon that an offer had been received from Chelsea and that the club would be rejecting the bid and refusing them permission to speak to him. Gordon said he was very happy with that decision, so talk of him wanting to speak to Chelsea is the stuff of nonsense.

I cannot divulge my source. Take it or leave it.

  10. Regarding discussion on the previous article. Somebody gave an excuse to Ribbentrop /Molotov pact and forgets to mention that the Communist Russia fought hand in hand with Nazi Germany against the nations in Europe. Just to buy time? Interesting. Nazi Germany invaded Poland on 1 September 1939 from the West. Communist Russia attacked Poland on 17 September 1939. Time of slaughter of whole villages and towns. 250 000 Polish soldiers taken captive, then gone away to the Stalags in the East of Russia. War crimes including shooting out 280 soldiers and officers in Sarny and other . 24 000 Polish officers, professors shot at the back of their heads in Katyn in Spring 1940.More than 1 million civilians, Polish, Jewish, old, children, pregnant women, in 1 month long way in the cattle wagons to Siberia. Not many of them survived that trip. All until Germany attacked Russia in Spring 1941. National valuables, museums taken away to Russia or stolen by Russian soldiers.

Poland was not the only victim of the Ribbentrop Molotov pact. Russia attacked Finland on 30 November 1939. Facts are easy to find. I’m sorry for that post but I could not stand Russia Today “truth”.

Paul67 – Not sure if anyone else read the article or not [Brendan has a big selection decision to make for Tynecastle] are we not playing at home on Sunday ?

  12. Beatbhoy/Kitalba,

    As Paul67 states,

‘Everyone has a price to think otherwise is to deny the future.’

Sadly everything at the Plc seems to revolve around ‘price.’ It’s a odd sentence that seems to deny the importance of the present. The future will take care of itself as regards the actions/inactions of the Plc and others.

We don’t have to do anything. If they have lied or deceived us and money is their sole motivation events will unfold that will highlight their ‘greed’ and corruption.

Just sit back and watch history being written:)

    Re Craig Gordon,

I am not sure how highly Brendan rates him. Maybe that changed after Craig was dropped and came back.

    Who knows?

For the avoidance of doubt I am not a member of 30 strong syndicate in Lusk, County Dublin that won a share of the Euromillions Jackpot last week, 88 million euros!

    Which 5-way agreement?

The one in which title-stripping had been agreed to in return for a place in SFL1?

Or the one in which the SFA/SFL then ignored the breaking of their rules to have Sevco admitted to the bottom tier, titles intact, and left so by LNS, following the supporters’ threat in 2012, which I mentioned previously?

I think we should be told.

    RE Concession tickets

My old man had oap ticket till he died. He got old co games on the ticket. When the ticket passed to one of my bhoys, we still got oldco on the ticket. Even when he was on a student discount we still got the ticket.

We were also allowed to have an 18 and under ticket for a full season when he was too old because his birthday fell a couple of days after the renewal date.

Downside being I will be 65 a couple of months after renewal but will no doubt pay the full whack if I am spared that long.

Which 5-way agreement that Celtic are never going to tell you about.

I have sources, I can’t tell you about them ‘coz they’ll kill me…

But the 5-way agreement, under a different operational name it was designated – milk the sectarianised PLEBS coin.

They love it. They live for it. They’ll always pay for it.

When was the last game between Celtic and The Rangers you went to…. open question incisive of you Paul.

Who in their right mind pays 50 quid to watch Celtic play a 4 year old club?

Who in their right mind at Celtic PLC would dare court sectarianism by charging 50 quid to watch a 4 year old grave escapee? I knew they were going to charge those prices… SHAME AND MORE SHAME Celtic.

But our PLC did and we lapped the sectarian snail trail like love juice and we snail it now.
