Defences, views and runs

1232

We can take some comfort in the fact that Salzburg have lost three games on the bounce but they sit in second spot in the Austrian Bundesliga, Celtic are fourth in the Scottish Premiership and have won only one of their previous five games.  The Austrians will see just as much comfort in our form.

Success on Thursday will be determined by who manages to overcome their frailties most effectively.  As far as Celtic are concerned, that will mean trying to find the kind of defensive performance that we put in last season.

Our reason for most confidence should be the speed which we can break at, and Salzburg’s only defensive issues.  They shipped three goals to Sturm Graz and Malmo in recent outings.

Many thanks to everyone who has already taken our ‘Who we are and Our Values’ survey, it took just over 1 hour to register 1,000 submissions.  It’ll take you little more than 5 minutes to share your view on some important matters, take a look here.

I’m a wee bit late to the party but I’ve signed up for the Great Scottish Run on 5 October to assist Celtic Foundation’s work in the areas of health, equality, poverty, and learning.  If you’ve already registered with the event, or you have a pair of trainers and an outrageous disregard for the aging process, get involved.

You can register for the Great Scottish Run here and with the Foundation be emailing them, details here.

This is our club, they are your trainers, that is your outrageous disregard for the aging process.  Let’s do it.

Have any of the apolitical CQN gambling fraternity placed a bet on the rather generous odds of 3/1 being offered for a Yes vote.

I have not been on too much these past few days so just wondering if ‘any’ of those who so often come on and tell us how much they gambled on a punt have been as open with their wagers on the referendum.

It was one person. Not the Yes vote lobby. The vast majority of us don’t think like that.

Oh and that other guy, ye know the useless, left back, Izzy I believe they refer to him when talking about him being past it. I thought he was rather good too.

johnny , in the previous thread, it was established that Scots on holiday in dubai right now have mostly voted yes 8 from 11.

and ernie said “aye well, what do you expect from people who go to dubai on holiday”

    i para phrase,

s i am taking a stabat, people who go to santa ponsa on holiday aso vote yes.

am i on the mark ?

    —————————————————————————————————————————

I would suggest that that is the case. There are a handful of t-shirts with the Union fleg walking about here, but the general consensus among the Scottish visitors out here, is, they’ll be voting YES.

    Me too, incidentally!!

while I agree that the use of the word cretin is wrong I don’t exactly see any bullying or intimidation in the post, unless you believe that he really does want a square go in trafalgar square,

  7. Ian Duncan Smith….free to run amok amongst disabled and poor people.

While they fill their pockets with tax cuts and public money.

Er….don’t think that’s going to be accepted.

    And why should it.

There is no democracy in Scotland, its time that changed.

No more Tory and Sectarian rule.

    Vote Yes

I’ve not even got close to reading most of the posts on here over the past few months regarding the referendum.

However, I’d like to say that above all other posters I’ve found you to be the most reasonable, fair and considerate to the posts of those who oppose your views.

You’ve epitomised the grace and manners which CQN was once known for.

    Take a bow Sir.

They cannot pay anybody out on anything until it is decided.

the NHS Scotland budget depends on that of the NHS England budget. If an when priovatisation hits and the English NHS begins not to be free at the point of contact the reduction in budget will directly effect the reduction in the Barnett formula numbers for NHS spend passed back to Scotland. A barnett formula budget which that has seen an overall 8.7% reduction.

NHS Scotland spend on private is less than 1% of the overall budget. In January this year you will find that Health Secretery Alex Neil issued guidance that NHS boards must cut their private health sector spend after seeing it spiral, as you detailed in 2012/2013. This suggerst to me that the spend in private sector health is not acceptable and an effort is being made to reduce it below the current 0.8% of boverall budget that iti is sitting at.
