St Johnstone failed to score during their previous five games but would have scored more against a generous Celtic were it not for some fine work by Craig Gordon.
Individual errors aside, there are aspects of our shape I’m not happy with. In previous times you wouldn’t know if the Celtic defence and keeper were having a good game, they were so well protected. In the Premiership, this makes for entertaining football as we march to the title, but at a higher level we’ll be ripped open.
There’s not a proper defensive midfielder at the club. If we’re going to keep to this shape, we’ll need one before August.

However yes i do agree we still have a long standing problem of bias within the Police force
To be a classic album cover depends as much on the contents as the artwork.
Rory Gallagher Against the Grain should have been sponsored by Ronseal.
Spent many a time listening and looking at the worn off varnish on his Stratocaster imagining just how many hours of playing would be required to wear the lacquer down to the wood.
When Sgt Pepper came out it was brought into the house by an elder brother. As an 8 year old I was transfixed by Sgt Pepper Sleeve/Cover not because of the celeb spotting cover, but because all the lyrics were on the inside. Don’t know if that was a first but it had an impact on me.
Spent a week learning all the lyrics and a lifetime finding out what they meant : )

I have always brought my children up to show respect to the Police, it is a shame the Police don’t reciprocate. As most of you know my son was one of the Celtic fans who was left stranded in Dundee, the way the policeman spoke to him was a disgrace. My son asked the policeman to speak with some respect and not shout shut it at someone who was talking to him, the policeman responded by shouting in my son’s face “complain, complain, complain” knowing that absolutely nothing would happen to him. My son would rather not complain as he doesn’t want to be a target for the police at games, which is just awful that, we believe that is exactly what would happen. Even though, this has all been recorded by his friend.
I was absolutely appalled by the behaviour of the officer serve and protect! Not if you are a football fan.

Paul, your article is spot on. All I saw of the game was the BBC Sportscene highlights last night. Their skewed editing of our games never gives you a true reflection (just like their skewed punditry) but I was appalled at how easily Simunovic was brushed aside on more than one occasion. I agree we need a good defensive midfielder but we also need more defensive solidity in behind that. Hopefully Eric will provide that but I still think he may need a stronger partner than any we have available at the moment.

On my many short Easter visits to Donegal I was irked that we couldn’t get a drink on the Friday till I discovered that residents in hotels (and their guests) could spend the night in the bar.
Problem solved.
I approached the manager of our local hotel and offered him £20 for his fav charity (himself) if he booked me in but that I would not be staying the night in my room!
Cue a couple of mates and I having a wee swally when the Garda arrived.
” Are you a resident?”
” Yes”
A quick check of the hotel register and off they went!

Scott Brown is excellent at breaking down good advanced play by opposing teams as well as getting himself into the right place to stop mistakes of our own costing us.
He is a very very good defensive midfielder
