DEILA ADMITS WILSON INTEREST

CELTIC boss Ronny Deila has admitted the club’s interest in Hearts captain Danny Wilson, the former Rangers defender, as CQN Magazine revealed earlier this week.
The 23-year-old centre-half has been a key figure for Robbie Neilson’s Championship title winners, making 28 appearances.
Wilson, who had also played for Liverpool, has a contract at Tynecastle until 2016 and Deila says the Scotland international is one of a number of players on his radar.

When asked about his interest in Wilson, Deila said: “That’s one of many names we are, of course, talking about but it is nothing serious. He is a good player.”

Hoops boss Deila played down reports of a move for NEC Nijmegen’s Iranian international winger Alireza Jahanbakhsh while adding that the club’s recruitment department are hard at work ahead of the summer transfer window.

He said: “We are working now. We have to use April and May to watch players and the scouting department is doing a very good job now, getting names in the positions we want.

“Now we just need to scout them, watch them as much as we can and talk with them so we know if they are the right type for Celtic.”
