Deila and Hutter bedding into their new teams

1385

There are parallels between Salzburg and Celtic.  After an outstanding season Salzburg lost their coach, Roger Schmidt, in May to Bayer Leverkusen, appointing Adolf Hutter (commentators beware), who previously managed Austrian Bundesliga club Grodig and is largely unknown outside Austria.

Unlike Ronny Deila, Hutter has not tried to change Salzburg’s system, but the period of transformation has been blamed for Salzburg failing to overcome Malmo in the Champions League play-off round (Malmo taxed Juventus in Turin last night before two second half Tevez goals settled things).  New instructions, new training techniques and, in some cases, new personnel present challenges.

Ronny has had a few false starts but the return of Scott Brown at the weekend, the return to form of Kris Commons, who will surely start, and the addition of Scepovic, Tonev and Wakaso to the squad give reason for confidence.

Ol’ John Hughes should be happy today then -after saying how the game needs a strong Rangers (sic).

Now un-seeded Sevco meet un-seeded Falkirk because, erm, Caley were seeded? Gee…..

“It’s impossible to read your musings anymore as I am walkiing blindly into the dark!”

Very reminiscent of the argument I used to get when ever I said I was not too obsessed by Board matters.

I was told that I had “blind faith” in my views as if theirs was an open, informed and validated faith. I think they just had a problem using the word faith appropriately.

I don’t do the lottery. As I have a gazillion to 1 chance of winning while being taxed a little bit extra to pay for things the UK government should be paying for while a company profiteers.

Sound’s like WM all over on a small scale.

I am 100% sure that my country and yours will be no worse off after independence. No worse. I am 99.9% sure the majority of Scots will be better off off.

That for me is not a lottery.

I’ve only based that on informing myself of the opportunities Independence will afford us against sticking with this corrupt mismanaged status quo offerring us a bribe (sorry Vow) in panic unsubstantiated mauy I add without WM legislation. And you talk about lottery?

    You in town next week?

Preferred Red Dwarf myself… Not be long until we have Tomorrow people belts and won’t need border control..it wasn’t that long ago Star Trek used the prototypes for mobiles…;)

What will be, will be, after the vote tomorrow and whoever loses, will say, I told you so in the years to come.

I would say that your wife letting the dafties on either side dictate her vote is weak and not taking any of the real issues into account.

In case she was not aware there are some questionable types on the No side as well, not least the BNP and the Orange Order.

I can only assume she is not aware of that!

    ===

As the spouse of an UFB and the daughter in law of a volunteer she is more than aware of the OO and the insidious nature of both the Scots and Ulster born Scots versions. Perhaps if BT foot soldiers had threatened to hurt one of her close friends she may have remained firmly in the Yes camp, despite the kids trying to convince her to change her vote. But it wasn’t the BNP or OO perhaps due to the fact there aren’t too many of either visible in the NE of Scotland, there do seem to be a few Looney Aye’s about though. Anywho all the eligible clan, minus moi – abstaining, are voting no.

Life is a lottery, risk managment a neccesity. You wouldn’t take a mortage from Lord Lucan PLC would you. Well the bold Ali’s banks might just morth into them and as I warned weeks ago, read the small print on yer bank and insurance stuff and see where the registered office that has a claim on them is registered. Bearing, of course, in mind that claims are a two way street.

If you are comfortable with what you have been professing these past five months or so, then I am glad for you personally, but mate what you have been professing does not resonate with me one iota; truth be known the diametrical is the case.

Did you ever read the white paper about Scotland’s future diplomatic corp. I wonder what elite group, or Gorbals post codes, they’ll be recruited from. James Forrest said on here I was stupid with my concerns about Scotland’s ability to protect its own citizens and that I should read the white paper to ally my fears. I did read the white paper and in doing so realised that either J.F. was talking through his arse or he was deliberately lying. Either way his way wrong claims made me shudder.

    Good luck on Thursday/Friday.

I’ve decided to leave all this referendum malarky for the day and am off to Lisbon with 7 other Timmites.

Anyone know of a good Celtic pub where the game is guaranteed to be on? I’ve checked celticbars.com and see they have one but anyone got suggestions or feedback for it?

  14. Paul67,

I wasn’t that impressed with Tonev. I know it’s early days and was his debut, but we’ll see.

A wee word of advice to young McGregor.

‘You can pass to a player in a better position to score than you are’ – there was at least 3 times on Saturday where you tried to hit a screamer. Have a look about you, head up.

    I fear not.

The blog has been a huge bore for me for a long time due to the referendum “debate”.

I’m not on everyday but looked forward to the opportunity to read back the days I’d missed.

    Not now.

Oh and the personal insults and name calling are poor.

I used to let my daughter read the blog.

    Not now.

Started buying the Celtic View for my football news.

    Could be a newspaper next.

    A shame.

  16. the token tim – “if you like neither porridge (salted or sugared) nor whisky, can you still be a Scotsman?”

In an independent Scotland, you will be dragged to a secret underground bunker where Nicola Sturgeon, the she-wolf of the SNP, will strip you naked and hit you with rolled up Oor Wullie annuals till you say you love porridge. (thumbsup)

I will take my mortgage from the bank that will offer me the best deal. As has ever been thus. Are you telling me there will be no banks operating for a Scottish customer base. Are thy going to leave immediately and cut all ties including my current mortgage and overdraft. Yeah. debt free. what a way to go.

the White Paper was the first document I read and I have been at this since January.

the White Paper is the SNP’s electoral manifesto for 2016.

It has some good and some bad.

I however have read, listened, attended meetings, heard l;ocal debates (when NO have provided a candidate) and it is a simple Yes for me.

For once you disagree with tommy Sherridan. that must be a sea change for you. for once I agree with him and I don’t like that wee bit. :-) albeit I jsut don’t like the man over his politics.

  18. 3/1 Yes?

I prefer the 7/2 available on Hadaatha in the 3 25pm Yarmouth, as does the trainer.

( 4/1 Tenor in the Sandown 3 40pm also appeals)

    Well done.

If they are so sure of the result of that referendum, they should tell their great pals in the Labour Party to calm themselves down a wee bit then, and stop having kittens over nothing.

Those turf accountant chaps are not always right. They FIX the odds in a lot of events so as it is very difficult for them to lose money.

Remember, not so long ago, they priced Roy Keane as short as 16/1 on to get the Celtic gig – and look how that panned out.
