DEILA DELAYS LINE-UP

CELTIC boss Ronny Deila will assess the match fitness of his squad before announcing his team to face East Kilbride in the Scottish Cup-tie at Airdrie’s Shyberry Stadium tomorrow afternoon.

The confrontation provides the Hoops with the opportunity to get back on winning ways after consecutive defeats in the last five days.

Deila’s side lost to Ross County in the League Cup semi-final at Hampden on Sunday and then to Aberdeen in the league at Pittodrie.

Skipper Scott Brown says it’s the players who need to take responsibility for their recent run of results, not under-fire gaffer Deila

Celtic talisman Kris Commons has been suffering from a throat infection as well as hamstring issues and will miss out again.

Defender Jozo Simunovic faces four to six weeks out with a knee ligament injury, while midfielder Tom Rogic (ankle) and Charlie Mulgrew (thigh) are unlikely to feature.

One of East Kilbride’s Scottish Cup goal heroes, Sean Winter, misses out as he is on a family holiday in Australia.

Ross Smith is absent with a knee injury, while Ross McKinnon and Aaron Connolly are unable to face the Hoops because they are Cup-tied.
