DEILA FOCUS ON STJARNAN

RONNY DEILA is adamant he will not look beyond Celtic’s midweek trip to Iceland following the draw for the Champions League third-round qualifier.
The Hoops, with a 2-0 advantage over Stjarnan, look to be in a comfortable position to progress.
If the four-in-a-row champions complete the task they will play against Qarabag, of Azerbaijan, or Montenegro’s Rudar Pljevlja in the next round.
That match is finely poised after the first-leg in Baku, where Pljevlja earned a 0-0 draw, but Deila is not concerned with possible opponents for the time being.
He said: “That’s the next round. Of course, we have to get finished with this one and play a good game on Wednesday. Then we can talk about the other teams afterwards if we get a good result.
“We had a lot of good movement and passing in the game against Stjarnan and I think we should have been more effective.
“But the result was good, I hoped that we would have won by more, but 2-0 is a good result when we go away.”
Celtic will have an extra week of training behind them and will have played another match before facing Stjarnan again, and Deila is confident the players will be prepared.
The Norwegian has taken a strong squad to play Spanish Primera Liga side Eibar tonight with a 5pm kick-off.
He added: “It will be an interesting game and we’re looking forward to playing the game.
“We’ll use it as a good training match to get us even fitter.”
New goalkeeper Logan Bailly is standing by to make his first appearance for the Hoops. The former Belgian international No.1 is likely to play at some stage of the game.
