DEILA SET FOR NEW JOB

FORMER Celtic boss Ronny Deila is being lined up to take charge of Oslo outfit Valerenga from January 1 next year.

The Norwegian left the Hoops in May after taking over from Neil Lennon in June 2014. He won two successive Premiership titles and one League Cup.

However, two back-to-back failures to qualify for the Champions League group stages and a shock Scottish Cup semi-final exit ultimately cost the 40-year-old coach his job at Parkhead.

Deila is likely to be reunited with his former Stromgodset football director Erik Espeseth, who is also being lined up by Valerenga for a similar post.

They worked together when the unfancied outfit won the Norwegian championship in 2013.
