MICHAEL DUFFY could be heading for the Celtic exit with a move to Dundalk lined up before the transfer window closes.
The 22-year-old Irish striker has yet to play a first team game for the Hoops after Ronny Deila signed him in a £150,000 deal from Derry City two years ago.
He scored three goals while on a temporary contract at Alloa last season, but had a loan spell with Dundee terminated before the tun of the year.
Duffy failed to impress Dens Park boss in eight Premiership appearances. He scored one goal in a Betfred League Cup-tie.
League of Ireland champions Dundalk may initially want the left-sided attacker on a loan deal or move to make the contract permanent.
Duffy refused to applaud Sevco Rangers onto the park after they had won a minor title and then went on to score a screamer in the match at Ibrox in which
same old Alloa picked up a point thanks to the young Celt.
Duffy may catch up with former Celtic cult hero Paddy McCourt at the Irish aces, as CQN reported this week.
The 33-year-old Northern Ireland attacker was signed by former Hoops boss Gordon Strachan for £250,000 from Derry City in 2008.
