Demonising liquidation carries risk

990

I didn’t hear the scores of other games this weekend until today when I read a red card protest (remember the day Celtic fans gave birth to this concept?) occurred at Ibrox to demonstrate disapproval to any potential new owner who plans to liquidate Rangers.

It would be preferable to everyone if Rangers paid their bills, restoring a degree of dignity, although apparently no one is offering to do this.  Publicly bidders for the club will all confirm their preference is to exit administration via a Creditors Voluntary Arrangement (CVA).  Offering pennies in the pound for a company is unquestionably a great deal, for the buyer, but whoever is nominated as preferred bidder this week is likely to have a serious option to liquidate the club.

Demonising the liquidation option carries risks for Rangers fans.  Short of raising considerably more money than they have thus far and paying their bills, there is little fan power can do right now.  If liquidation is the best option for creditors it will happen, better to accept the reality of the situation.  Whatever the resulting phoenix club is called, if the new owners inherit animosity from the start it will only diminish the potential of their new club.

I think Ross County will suprise a few people next season. They know how to play football & have a fantastic youth set up. They wont have 10 men behind the ball that’s for sure. HH

    HELP!!

I’m stick for transport on the day of the Rangers game.

Can anyone put me in touch with supporters bus convenors in either Sunderland or Teesside/Middlesbrough. I know there was a bus coming from Redcar at one point – does it still run?

I’m in Peterlee, so the two options are to go 10 miles north or about 20 miles south to meet one of the buses.

lmao at the “admin” comments, sadly all it means is me making several trips to explain why I’ve filled in forms wrong, though on reflection I should have looked for a better word.

P.S I hope you are all proud of yourselves that my grandkids can’t get there favourite meal as greedy tims emptied the shops of jelly and icecream

If you missed my posts on Saturday, apologies again for disappearing mid-chat on Friday night.

Anyway, trecked around worcester for half an hour before landing in the ‘saracens head’. They had ESPN so the Barman kindly stuck the game on so the whole pub got to watch the 1st half. At half-time the rest of the pub got switched over to some epl trash while the wee front bar, newly reformed as the worcester csc got on with watching the champions. Even got to watch the full post-match stuff. Lovely.

I am not sure i agree with that, it would really depend on how easy it is for the company to exit the country.

The Germans make it difficult for big companies to come in and exit easily. The UK is the exact opposite.

You are aware of the fact that Amazon’s entire market for such a centre is entirely internal and that the centre was required in any case, aren’t you?

i.e. that Amazon were pretty much going to build the distribution centre irrespective of the assistance given.

Or maybe you suspect that Amazon would have taken the huff and cut their own distribution throats because wee Eck wasn’t handing them the keys to a shiny new centre barely 10 miles away from their existing one?

I am as happy as the next man to see the good folks o’ Fife getting back to work. The problem I have with Mr Salmond’s generosity is that, for the moment at least, Amazon (the Corporation) will not contribute one penny to the Scottish exchequor, (and only Business Rates to the London one) and neither will their employees. The money should have come via the Scottish office, not out of the block grant which London so kindly donates to us. And anyway I did not think you were in favour of handouts, or do you make an exception when it comes to multibillion pound corporations?

Not sure that asking the locals for the ‘sarry heid’ will help you much next time you’re down. Nice wee pub. On the road that the main train station is on – foregate street?

Me, wife & 7 year old daughter provided a wee bit of curious entertainment to the locals for a couple of hours.

If it’s stuck on “Alt” and battery off does not help, I suspect that device had contact with water, cola or other liquid.

You get get copies of photos and music via cable (straight) into your computer. For full device copy you need Desktop Manager.

I would try to get Desktop Manager first and would try to put your devices sofware up to date first. Maybe up to date operation will solve the problems? If not, it’s hardware defect.
