DENAYER DELIGHT

JASON DENAYER won the first medal of his career in the League Cup success over Dundee United.
And now the 19-year-old on-loan centre-half is targeting two more before he returns to Manchester City in the summer.
The classy Belgian said: “I felt good as this was my first Cup Final as a professional and I was very happy to win.
“Obviously, I enjoyed the day a lot and I hope we can go on to win the treble now.
“It was game to enjoy, we played with style and did well. The start was a bit difficult, but after that we played very well.
“When Kris Commons scored the first goal, we felt better and went on from there.

“You put in the hard work to win trophies and the celebrations were very good and special. There was a great atmosphere in the dressing room.”

Denayer, speaking to the Celtic website, added: “I came here to win trophies and now I have experienced that. The manager, Ronny Deila, wants to win the treble so lifting the first trophy was very important.
“We all want to win the treble and we will now focus on Wednesday’s Scottish Cup quarter-final replay against United and continue to work hard as we did on Sunday.”
