Denayer’s agent said: “He was not in the selection against Chelsea, but that was no surprise to us.

“But if City get a defender, that’s it. They had promised us that no more defenders of that calibre would come. That does worry me.”City sources say there is no chance Mangala will leave and it is highly unlikely Martin Demichelis or skipper Vincent Kompany would make way.De Preter added: “If he is to sit on the bench or in the stands, he leaves.
