Portuguese international football is on a high at the moment, after winning the Nations League Final against Spain earlier this month.  The country has enjoyed a decades-long prodigious run of producing tier-one level talent.

All this makes Paulo Bernardo’s role as vice-captain in the European Under-21 Championship all the more interesting.  Although Paulo is 23, eligibility for the tournament depends on your age when the qualification tournament started, so from 23-year-olds can participate.

Paulo’s development took a backseat to that of Arne Engels last term.  The club had just paid £11m for Arne, so he was always going to get the nod.  Still, Paulo’s talent and ability to produce in big games has been evident to Celtic fans since 2023.  We paid £6m and need to make sure his development does not suffer again.

Portugal Under-21s face Georgia tonight, hopefully Paulo builds on his scoring performance last time against Poland.

    I had FOUR Winners out of Seven Races yesterday. The EARLY Prices that I had were,

     

    20/1, 8/1, 9/2 and 8/11.

     

    Sadly the 20/1 Winner was NOT on the same line as the others.

     

     

    However, I also managed to get the Ascot QUADPOT UP….It paid a Dividend of just over £286.00 for a £1 Stake.

     

    I had a PERMED QUADPOT on for FOUR £0.50 Pence Units…Total Stake of £2.00.

     

     

    I got just over £143.00 back from the Bookies for that Permed Quadpot.
