OLIVER SORENSEN took his first steps to becoming a permanent Celtic player when made his debut in the team’s 3-0 win over Aberdeen at Parkhead last night.
The Danish midfielder signed a season-long loan deal from Parma on Tuesday night before being pitched into the action as a 63rd-minute substitute for Benjamin Nygren with the champions already coasting to their fourth successive Premiership victory.
Sorensen’s ultimate goal is for the Hoops to take up the option to buy in his contract at the completion of the campaign.

WELCOME TO CELTIC…new Bhoy Oliver Sorensen gets shirty.
And after a whirlwind three days that took in a medical in London on Monday before arriving in Glasgow 24 hours later to finalise the paperwork and then take a bow in front of the Hoops fans on a rain-lashed evening.
Sorensen, speaking to CelticPlayer, said: “My first impression is that there is a lot of quality and it’s a very, very good team.
“It’s a club and a team that plays very attacking football, so I’m ready to work for the team and then, hopefully, make a few goals, as well.
“I think I’m a different profile than most of the midfielders now.
“I’m more like a running player and all of them are good dictators of the game.
“So, I think I maybe bring a different dynamic.”

OH NO…Oliver Sorensen buries his face in his hands after missing the opportunity of a debut goal in Celtic’s 3-0 win over Aberdeen last night.
Sorensen came close to capping his first appearance late in the game after Sebastian Tounekti picked him out at the near post with a low cross from the left wing.
Unfortunately, the new Bhoy didn’t quite make the proper connection and his effort flew wide of the far upright.
Possibly Sorensen will have better luck when Martin O’Neill’s side take on St Mirren in Paisley on Saturday evening.
