Difficult opening fixtures but no excuses

259

Away to Hearts, Hibs, Aberdeen and Newco in the first round of fixtures.  If you like your season to start with a challenge, you will be happy.  Ange Postecoglou, on the other hand, may have hoped for a more favourable start to the campaign.

No excuses, we have the resources to cope and to go on and win the league.

  1. Go tell the Spartim on

Let’s see what sort of team we have by then, usual click bait links not exactly thrilling, but it’s how they play for us that’ll matter

  2. Delaneys Dunky on

Hopefully there will be a bigger crowd allowed in Celtic Park, when we play these ‘bigger’ teams at home, later in the year.

This could actually work out well for Ange Postecoglou.

    Bring it on!

  3. Garngad to Croy on

Away to the 3 highest placed teams in the league , wow is it that chap in the orange anorak who works the fixture computer and the test and trace computer ?

  4. Yes, hard games but the less home games the better if we cant get a crowd in. Scottish Government are no friends of Celtic so I expect no fans will be allowed at our home games for quite some time.

Maybe if we were to dress up in kilts and wave the scottish flag then we would be allowed at games.

  5. If we’re stuck for a transfer kitty, maybe we should ask for a zero interest loan……..

  6. Daunting given how last season went but if we get back to the Celtic of old, we’ll be absolutely fine.

    —-

Seen that. Not repayable until 2042 interest free !

We would have been silly not to avail of that.

Goin by the bull you posted the other night

the irish are no friends of Celtic either.

  9. That’s the usual isn’t it. We get the Huns early when we have a new manager. When the Huns have a new manager we play them last in the 1st round of fixtures.

Out with Ibrox the next worst place to send us for the first away game is swinecastle

  10. I don’t see “excuses” – only reasonable…. errrm…..err…….reasons………….

    Fix fitba: Empty Hampden.

Charlie Wyke to do the business. A modern day Chris Killen.

Christie getting subbed at half-time won’t do much for his price.

When did you go to St martha`s? Obviously before I did as All Saints did not exist then !

I saw part of that! Hard to deny them when other clubs got it but jees, other clubs aren’t as irresponsible as them…..

They keep twisting when they were bust 5 cards ago….sevco pontoon🤣😂

I called this last week when talking to a neighbour- Sevco early at Mordor.

Give the new manager as little time as possible to find his feet, give him pressure games early, let the SMSM do its stuff if he drops points or loses at Mordor.

    It was very predictable.

Finish August with maximum points, however, and we’ll stroll the league.

Hot Smoked – ya auld bassa – maybe you went at the same time as spikeysauldman’s auld man !

    I went from 71-83.

  20. No excuses? Well unless the board suddenly do a lot of buying and selling, and not leave it until the last night of the transfer window, then I think Ange will have plenty of excuses. Good ones. Like no defence and no forwards worth speaking of.

  21. As for the difficult fixtures, no basis for this but I see our man Ange wanting to get into it from the off.

Looking forward to the challenges and attacking(in a footballing sense of course)🍀

  22. wee neil blaming fan’s again!! thought maybe he would have fixed himself up with a top team by now ! well maybe a top conference league team, and that will be doubtfull

  23. Big Money approach for Slippy from Yeovil Town………………

    ……open secret.

    ——–

100% correct….and be allowed to congregate in fan-zones to drink ourselves stupid.

However it has all backfired – the SNPcult adopted team will not get a goal, let alone a point. Let’s be honest, does anyone other than SNPcult voters really give a toss?

Schools were roped-in and instructed to add the Euros to their current SNPcult indoctrination curriculum – free flags & sweeties for all.

Still getting three competition matches in twenty-three years is deemed worth celebrating in Scotland – that’s how low our expectations have dropped under the cult. Why not campaign for flag-waving as an Commonwealth Games sport? There’s a definitely a chance of a Gold there!

In the unlikely event of independence, i.e. Bankruptcy Day, we will probably all get a bottle of whisky and a flag on 30 November, St Andrews Day, every year – what’s not to like about that?

  25. Hearin’ that Yeovil’s been back oan…………

apparently it’s Beale they really want, Slippy would be nice for the photies tho’………….

  27. that is some bitter rant btw.

In other news – a really good listen for me as NFL popped up on Radio Shortie Euros breakfast programme.

He sounded very calm, measured, open,

When asked about hardest players he played with or against, he rated Big Bad John, Wanyama, Van Dyke and Broony, but also as a suprise Dennis Bergkamp.

Also, he was asked to name the Scottish greatest players …………

he chose , Souness and gave articulate rational justifications,

I did think though, he is trolling his haters now.

  28. The thing about Sounes is that he’s well respected down south and his advice may be sought re new managers by club chairman, Neil is just making sure they’ll be a good word put in if required :))) por cierto.
