Difficult opening fixtures but no excuses

259

Away to Hearts, Hibs, Aberdeen and Newco in the first round of fixtures.  If you like your season to start with a challenge, you will be happy.  Ange Postecoglou, on the other hand, may have hoped for a more favourable start to the campaign.

No excuses, we have the resources to cope and to go on and win the league.

  1. might be an age thing, but the older i get the more interested i am in the places i have distant young memories of.

We had cousins that lived in one of the high flats in the Gorbals, and we got taken to birthday parties there from the port, and we passed a derelict saint enochs.

what a crime against the people and the future environment by taking these away,

    and what a picture.

    I assume you’re being sarcastic.

  3. Is anti Irish racism a thing?

    Is anti English?

    Scottish?

    We need to define racism.

  4. Unconditionally I want Scotland to win, at anything.

I do not support division and hatred.

    HH.

  5. RC as Bob Kelly used tae say we don’t have 3 colours just green and white, we are not an extension of the Irish flag.

The bit about Scullybhoy saying something funny, do you mean? Maybe it was a reach.

    ——————————————————————————————————-

For nearly one hundred and forty years, Scotland has enjoyed only one giant football club. Us. Celtic FC.

During that time there has been two tribes occupying the country. Us again and the anti-Irish, anti-Catholic collective

  8. Why do JK and GS get personal abuse from some Celtic fans but never Steve Woods?

He has never improved a single keeper in his time there.

He would surely have had a say on the Barkas signing.

We had 3 international goalies last season and none were fit for purpose.

    Strange one

  9. ……….see THAT Stevie Woods……..!

    couldnae keep bairns oota close…………

  10. Agreed some of the language recently has bordered on at best, xenophobia (still bad) or at worst, racial stereotyping and yes Race can be Nationality.

The same many who are Irish or perceived to be receive discrimination and stereotyping…..based on Nationality.

To me it’s just football rivalry with an edge.

I aporeciate it’s a lot more for some, but many have family, friends, colleagues from England so for our support who hold ourselves in high regard, choice of language is important……

Context may clarify some of the comments….maybe….

They can’t guarentee full capacity, so asking registration for a draw. Some people won’t want to attend right away.

    It’s a non story.

Basically everything Celtic do, will have folk in twitter moan (that’s the only way they know how to keep relevant on twitter) and them 1 of 6 clickbait groups make a story out of 5 twitter comments, then we get subjected to it here.

    It’s mad.

I think the point is to identify people who can go as groups to the games so, for example, a group of season ticket holders who are part of the same bubble can go to the same game and be seated together to facilitate the organisation of social distancing.

Also having info about people who might not be able, or wish, to attend evening ko matches could be taken into consideration when allocating games to supporters.

It makes sense not to allocate games to supporters when they cannot attend so all available seats can be used.

Last year, also asked about where people would be prepared to sit

I don’t think people can seriously believe that the club don’t believe season ticket holders won’t want to attend or are trying to make it difficult for people.

I believe it is about making sure we can get as many as possible into the games. Might also be some folk who won’t feel ready to go into a crowded environment right away.

Are you looking for a job in their PR department, because if all you said is true and I’m not doubting you, then a similar useful explanation from them would have been beneficial. 😱😵

Folks what the hell is going on here FFS

    ————-

    really is a non-story.

sporting events so far you have to tell who you want to attend with, if your a group, sit togther, how to organise the spacing, and the ins / out, there might even be people renewed who wont attend till all family vacinnated.

anything to complain for goodness sake.

  15. Have a feeling France may win……..and backed them at 7/4.

Something telling me they may give Germany a doing……

    je ne sais pas pourquoi🤔

  16. Wonderful occasion France v Germany. Their national anthems make FoS sound like “The Mucking Of Geordie’s Byre”😅

  17. lets all do the huddle on

cant see how the german national anthem is any less of a ‘dirge’ than ‘FoS’

unless it’s the opinion of a hun

Talk about moaning..ye seen the price of carbon wheels!!

looking for a second hand pair if anyones got an ol set of disc (centrelock prefered) and clincher?

  23. As much as I like Neil Lennon, I think he is totally wrong when he mentions the “ new type of fan “

    “:Greedy and complacent” …and .” want, want,want”.

If they had not been relegated and we were not in a one horse race for a few years,I would possibly take his point of view.

I am now in my late 60s and don’t get to Glasgow much.

When I was last in Glasgow ( around 2 years ago ) I met up with some of my old pals…….the only thing we all really wanted was for Celtic to do the ten.

The obvious reason for this is …we will probably not be around if it does ever happen.

This to us was as important as a European final win………so sorry Neil….we are not a new type of fan, we are not greedy and complacent and we don’t want, want, want…..We just wanted the 10 and unfortunately you did not deliver it!
