In the absence of Yang, Martin O’Neill will be keen to have as many forward options available as possible, the frame of Kasper Hogh will feature prominently in his thoughts. Injured in our ill-fated adventure in Linz, his return for the trip to Ibrox at the weekend would be welcome.
It would be a risk re-introducing Kasper tomorrow night at St Johnstone, as well as at Ibrox. We have our first Europa League game in nine days, and a league game against Newco three days after that.
For me, there are no good options. Sebastian Tounekti does not have Yang’s physicality. Camilo Duran has played on the left before he came to Celtic, but shifting him out would rob us of our most effective front man, and we would only push Camilo left to make way for an uncertain return of Kasper. Shim Mheuka has yet to score a goal in senior football and would be an interesting pivot, if given a start at Ibrox.
Top priority will be the league game against Newco with the potential to open an even more substantial gap (tomorrow’s results pending). Reaching the League Cup semifinal will be less pressing. I expect Sebastian to start our next two games.

Celtic has over 27,000 holders of ordinary shares. Thousands of them the club can no longer reach.
Most bought in the 1990s to save the club. Wrong addresses, thirty years on. Untraced does not mean gone. The shares are still theirs.
What they get: no accounts, no vote, and on the prefs no dividend. Under Celtic’s own Articles, a dividend unclaimed for twelve years can be forfeited to the company.
We asked the board on 2nd June. The answer was “within the normal range”. No number.
So we are putting a resolution to the November AGM. It asks Celtic to appoint Georgeson, the tracing arm of Computershare, already Celtic’s registrar. No new supplier. No upfront cost. The fee comes only from what is recovered. Lindsell Train, Celtic’s second largest shareholder, already uses it.
Costs the club nothing. Names nobody.
We need 100 Celtic shareholders to sign by end of September.
Not 100 CSL members. 100 shareholders. You do not need to be a member of anything. Two minutes. Free. One share from 1995 counts the same as ten thousand.
SIGN IT NOW 👉 celticsupporters.net/resolution
Then send this to every Celtic shareholder you know. Your family. Your club. The people you sit beside. Most of them have a certificate in a drawer and have never been asked.
100 names. That is the whole ask.

This is where James Forrest earns his corn.
Can Hassan play on the left?
The jibber-jabber this morning is that Jota is closer to a return than expected. Maybe fit enough to het a slot on the bench.
Unfortunately Tounekti is for when a game is already won.
I’d start Camilo on the left & play Shim, Seb can come on if we’re 2-3 goals up.
Alternatively, play Jamesie on the left.
Hopetaefeek Jota recovers fully or as near to.
Free Palestine 🇵🇸
My approach is to give the opposition absolutely no concessions. Extinguish hope at the first opportunity.
That means winning the cup match, then winning the league match.
And beating St Johnstone before any of that.
Over to MON and Shaun to figure out the best way to accomplish that.*
*It seems unlikely that the ‘best way’ is Tounekti in front of Scales and Hassan in front of Donovan, with Nygren watching on from the middle of the park. But what do I know?
About CSL
What is Celtic Supporters Limited?
Celtic Supporters Limited is a member-owned company formed to build a meaningful, organised fan shareholding in Celtic PLC. Our purpose is simple: unite dispersed fan shareholders, acquire additional shares over time, aggregate proxy voting power, and establish a credible, sustained fan voice at PLC level. We are not a protest group. We are not a pressure campaign. We are building structured shareholder influence.
What is the long-term goal?
The long-term objective is to build a material shareholding and voting block capable of influencing governance outcomes at Celtic PLC. Success looks like: a large, coordinated fan voting bloc; meaningful leverage at AGMs and general meetings; structured dialogue at PLC level; and a seat at the table if shareholding scale justifies it. This is a long-term strategy. It will not be achieved overnight.
While I think Tounetki is making progress, and I’m a bit of a fan, (good sub in Paisley, wrong sub in Linz) I would be tempted to play Forrest on the left at the start of the game, with Hassan on the right, and bring on Seb @ some point in the second half. Assuming we play with three up front that is. The John’s Town Saints have got off to a good start to the season in the SPL, though East Fife knocked them out of the LC. Then again Shim made quite an impact in his cameo the other night, move Duran to lhs and give the young forward a chance to shine. Looks up for it.
I think Jamesie should have a more prominent part to play in the absence of Yang and Jota . He is a more effective winger than Tounetki , even at 34 . He holds the ball better and sees a pass better under pressure . He is also more inclined to go forward rather than backward. Tounetki too often takes the easy option . I’m not a Tounekti hater , It’s not the lad’s fault that he just doesn’t have what we need .

hello,
been a while since I looked at all the various fans group coalitions (for want of a better word) but the CSL stuff is gathering traction in a manner that , for me, makes more sense that the coalition committee front.
Imho, to enact change you must use the platforms available via the company structures.
So, via shareholder pressures and the agm resolutions, turning up and shouting gets nowhere.
Take a peak in ,the yearls accounts are dure next week, the agm will be called for november, this is when sensible dialougue has to commence.
and ps, even if the only thing that happens is focing the company secretary to commit to tracing share owners.

A bit ironic, I guess, but CSl need to improve their communication. I’ve already been in touch with them, via email, and mentioned that I’m a shareholder, yet never received anything regarding what you posted.
As for the Willie Haughey proposal, what’s happened to that?
Tounekti can be a good impact sub. Never a starter, especially at Ibrox with no away fans. Lacks the minerals.
Willie, Paul wherefore at thou, por cierto

Kasper and KT back in full training today. Moving totally fine from the video
AJ doing some light work on his own.
Can’t see Jota in the video
I would see where we are after tonight.
I assume we were aware of the Asian Cup and had a time frame for Jota so we would have known during the transfer window we’d only have Tounetki for a run of games.
So a bit like the road to Dublin, I wouldn’t be starting from here…
But here we find ourselves.
If it’s Tounetki then MoN has a big call to make on Nygren.
It’s difficult to see us come through these run of games with 9 men in the team when we’re out of possession.
can i be a wee bit creative and say, try Duran and hassan on the left , swopping sides through the game, why not.
🔵⚪️ Como president Mirwan Suwarso and club directors are giving up their Champions League seats for the UCL debut game against Leipzig.
Suwarso announced they prefer the seats to go to Como supporters born in 1950 or earlier, those who have followed the club through every era to celebrate this historical UCL debut.
Very thoughtful gesture from the Como owners
On the subject of share registration and tracing fan shareholders this important issue has been raised in many meetings between the Clubs Executives/board members and the CST plus various Celtic fan Orgs, all to no avail, it simply did not suit those in power “The Owner” whose 37% ownership of an 80% possible voting made the control and manipulation of the AGM, it will be interesting to see if the PLC accept and adopts the resolution or it will be left to the shareholders to vote on it then it will not survive

I also contacted CSI at the start of the year. Stated I was quite willing to allow for them to use the voting rights for my shares, but didn’t understand why I needed to pay £10 per month to enable them to do this. Perhaps, there was some misunderstanding on my part, but a reply with an explanation would have helped.

He certainly is better than Yang or Tounetki for me. But he’s blowing out his backside after twenty minutes.
Wee Jamesie……………… 🌬️🌬️🌬️🌬️
Of course, there is an alternative to the Nygren conundrum: Just teach the fecker how to play when we’re out of possession. A bit of ‘management’, some coaching and a little incentivising – move yer bleedin’ arse!
It’llNeverCatchOnCSC
I’m thinking same lines as Blogger GM – can Hassan play on left ??
The buns will have Dujon ‘Over The Limit’ Sterling in the RB berth. Seb (like Reo) didnt like it tousy.
Hassan might just torment and provoke Sterling into something stupid.
We ostensibly have a bench creaking with impact subs; Jamesy, Seb and the injured Osmand.
Or, maybe wee Luke (natural left footer) wid put in a wing-shift if Seb shirks his duties.

I’d be amazed if they haven’t already. Coaching a press is the basics these days.
No absolutes of course but you can’t coach more athleticism into a player, just like you can’t teach someone to score a bucketload of goals from midfield.
If watching Celtic winning games floats your boat you might be happy to know that Celtic have won their last 8 games when Tounekti and Nygren have started together in their best positions.
It’s not a perfect combination but it’s almost certainly better than shoehorning Nygren into the team on the wing. The last time that happened was Brendans abomination of a parting gift at Tynecastle.

St. Stivs’ supplied a link earlier…
https://celticsupporters.net/governance
Scroll to the end and there’s a link to offer your shares as a proxy for the agm.
It might not feel like it because of the number of games we’ve played but we’re just over a month into playing a new system with a bunch of new players.
Development isnt linear, Celtic aren’t Arsenal, we can’t sign players who will either adapt seamlessly to a new style or come to us as the full package. Buy them and develop or sign flawed players who give enough of what you need to get the results you want.
Our best players are flawed, Nygren was the fans player of the season last season. The plan is always to improve the players we have, but you can’t expect a 25 year old to become something he isn’t. Work with what we have – in Nygrens case its a pretty exceptional midfield goalscorer and maker.
Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers has told the Hoops’ critics: ‘Judge us in May’

“you can’t expect a 25 year old to become something he isn’t”
There’s a whole load you can do with a player, within the twin constraints of physical make up and intelligence. Every player can improve. At 25, Nygren needs to add impact when the team is out of possession.
To my naive mind, that’s a function of mentality, coaching and instruction.
He has all of the athleticism that is needed at the international level he’s playing at. He regularly clocks 12km distance per 90 minutes.
He’s a young dog yet.
What am I missing?

Quite true….but you can expect him to add to what he already has.
Would be good to given Sorensen a start tomorrow in place of Nygren as hd is supposed to have the engine to play box to box.
