The positivity around Celtic at the moment is in stark contrast to how things were as we homed in on our fifth consecutive title only a few weeks ago. In football, is seems, where you are or where you’ve been is not important, it’s the direction of travel.

It will cost more money in several areas, of course, but keep one point in mind, talk of £15m on this or that is almost certainly not going to transpire into the splurge you might think. Celtic regularly spend close to this.

I read the 15 million elsewhere and thought that figure could be spun by anyone with any agenda.
We do spend close to around that figure but we have also taken in around 10 million a season in transfer fees with the net effect on the players wage budget remaining static.
If Celtic secure Rodgers the missing Lawwell 10 million will be back. This will come from additional ticket sales on that notion and from the return of Rangers. Both home games against them will be sell outs. (What’s the betting on them getting the two home games pre split?)
Add in adfotional sponsorship income and turnover for new strips …
I expect us still to sell some talent- Biton, Johansen and ship our out of contract players. A net spend of £8m on transfer fees or thereabouts.
That should be enough to secure 3 players down the spine of the team that are badly needed.
Centre half, centre mid and a centre forward. I would also replace the goalkeeper but maybe a new centre back will take the pressure off there.

It is important we change and improve to halt the regression through ever decreasing cirlcles. Both actual (domestically) and relative (European).
Yet we really have been a very well run Club in many ways post-Fergus. We need to keep the fundementals that have maintained this in check.
