DIRECTOR RESIGNS FROM CELTIC BOARD

IAN LIVINGSTON has resigned from his role as a director of Celtic PLC to concentrate on his other business interests.

Livingston was appointed to the board in 2007 and chaired the PLC’s Audit Committee. He has recently become chairman of Dixons Carphone plc and that and his other directorships will now be his focus.

Livingston spoke of his appreciation for Celtic in the formal announcement that was issued this morning.

“Having stood in the Jungle as a boy,it was a great honour to be a director of Celtic,” he stated.

“With the Club in a strong position, I look forward to Celtic’s continued success in the future.”

Celtic Chairman Ian Bankier thanked Lord Livingston for his contribution over the last decade.

“On behalf of the Board, I would like to thank Ian for his insight, experience and commitment to the Club. Ian is a highly respected figure in business and public life and Celtic has been fortunate to benefit from his contribution during his time as a director,” Bankier stated.

Meanwhile Celtic have appointed Gerry McCulloch, the Super Scoreboard phone in host on radio Clyde, as the  club’s new Head of TV and Digital Media.
