ABERDEEN’S hopes of gaining their first away league win of the year collapsed under an avalanche of mistakes at Ibrox this evening.
The dire Dons lost 4-1 in a haphazard performance that will pile the pressure on new boss Stephen Robinson.
The visitors, who made Celtic work hard for their 2-1 win at Pittodrie last month, didn’t threaten Jack Butland at all in the first-half and went in at the interval trailing to a 35th-minute 20-yard drive from Tochi Chukwuani.
It got worse when they gifted Danny Rohl’s side the second goal in the 48th minute as Mikey Moore slipped a low angled drive past Dimitar Mitov.

There was a glimmer of hops when Dennis Geiger pulled one back four minutes later. Amazingly, it was the Dons’ first away goal of 2026 at the ninth attempt.
Marko Lazetic blew the opportunity to net another when he wastefully fired into the sidenet from close range after a right-wing cross found him unguarded at the far post.
It didn’t matter in the end as further goals from Nico Raskin and James Tavernier settled the issue.
The Govan club are now three points behind Hearts, 1-0 winners over Dundee earlier in the day, and two ahead of the Hoops.
Martin O’Neill’s men have the opportunity to leapfrog back into second position with they play Dundee United at Tannadice tomorrow afternoon.
